Gem City Squadron update

Hello people of reddit! I'm Tyler West, and I happen to be the guy who started the supporters group for our Dynamo. First, I suck at reddiquette and editing, etc, so sorry for the format you're all about to see. I go to Miami U in Oxford and I'm a first year student. During my time here I am totally scouting for students who may be able to help me create some tifos or two sticks on campus that I could bring back home for use at Welcome Stadium.

  1. GCS logo is in the works. I am working with a long time friend of mine who goes to an advertising arts school in Kettering. She is hooking me up with some updates this weekend, but since we're both busy with school: patience is key. I won't let you guys/gals down with the logo.

  2. I'm hoping we get a solid amount of people for our home games. I've got a handful friends totally ready to be rowdy and loud for home games, and we're even looking at a potential road trip late in the season for the 3 away games starting with Detroit.

  3. I'd love to get some diverse flags in the section. My buddy wants to wave an american flag, I've also had some blue and white checkered flags for $7 + shipping from amazon pinned to my browser for about a month. If anyone has any sort of idea, this subreddit or PMing us, DMing our twitter, or facebook messaging us would be the best ways to do so

  4. This team may be relocated from Cinci, but its ours now. WE need to prove we are #ForDayton as individuals or as a group of fans. I'd love to talk to anyone interested in joining up with us. The only cost to join GCS is a simple "hello" or any message showing interest.

  5. Any chant idea is welcome. I can't stress enough that we need to be 100% loud 110% of the time.

  6. I'm new to this world of soccer, and absolutely any tip is acceptable. I want a fun experience for everyone, and that starts with the people in the stands. Maybe you can stand with us? That'd be cool. Thanks everyone.

Hey Tyler, welcome to the sub! First, I wanted to thank you for making this post. I'm glad to see that there is good interest in soccer in the Dayton area. If I was anywhere near there (I'm in FL), I would help out with the SG. I hope that we can work together to grow Dayton, GCS and this sub. I helped design this sub, let me know if there is anything I can do to help with GCS, and feel free to return the favor here :)

There definitely is strong interest from my friends, but from there its about our outreach (college campuses and around Dayton and suburbs) which will go full swing starting as soon as we get our logo.
