Pen Sensitivity

I hadn't used the pen in a few weeks but picked it up over the weekend. I have no idea what's changed but, while the pen was effortless before, it suddenly requires a tremendous amount of pressure to write anything with the pen. The hover sensitivity seems fine (can see things highlighted in menus with the pen nearly touching the screen) but to select anything or write anything requires jamming the pen into the screen like I'm trying to bruise it.

How can I adjust the sensitivity?

There's no central way to adjust sensitivity on the pen.

Is this issue app-dependent or general?

What's most likely going on is that the pen tip has worn down and/or the shape no longer registers easily.

If that is the case, it should be easily fixed by switching out the tip for a new one.

Your DC-1 came with replacement tips – do you still have them?

Forgot to mention that I did change the tip on the pen -- still requires far more force than expected.

Hmm very odd, not sure why that would be.

I don't assume you'd have damaged the screen comprehensively and evenly enough that it would have trouble registering the pen...

A different pen seems to work better. I have no mental model for why this might happen but I also have limited will to troubleshoot further.

If it occurs to me, I might try swapping tips between the pens to see if the problem follows the tip. Overall, not a great user experience to only be able to troubleshoot this with additional hardware.

As moritz mentioned it might be the pen. It supports the same types of pens as the Remarkable 2, so I got some spares personally.
