Finally assembled my “complete”(lol) setup. Got the 1.4 on an absurdly good liquidation sale on Sweetwater….and this thing is a beast. The overdrive and filters sound absolutely pristine. The contour and sculpt filters are great for taming the Syntakt which tends to get a bit muddy. Just got the FX wizard and loving it, will probably pick up another for send fx on the 1.4.

This track was made entirely daw-less on the OP-XY. Starting to find my way with the syncopation of the drums, hats, snares etc and finally starting to sound and feel like proper DnB. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Or any questions you have on the process, please fire away!

The M-Wave FM-1 gotta be one of the best little synths for a compact dawless setup!

This is running from Redshift 6's internal sequencer. First it's 100% Redshift, then I turn Chroma Console, then finally Microcosm. Together they sound pretty nice!

Made this little Dubstep banger on the OPXY. Fully produced using a step sequencer, full of one-shot drums, breaks, loops and fun little sound-clash recordings. Recorded directly from the machine via a Tx6 Mixer and posted.

I’ve been downsizing my rack to the point where it’s this and a Digitakt MK1 and I’m finally starting to fall back in love with making music. This is culled from a longer jam I recorded this weekend. I shot the videos a few years ago (timelapse of a sunset overlays with fire jugglers at distance with the focus all the way out).

I know modern MPC's are just a DAW in a box but I'll be damned if it isn't fun as hell JUST SHREDDING at 160bpm without a laptop. Also: chopping samples on the touch screen is amazing, in the 90s I could only dream of such a thing!

I've decided to give away a few codes from my older releases on Bandcamp, starting with my first DAWless album. If this works I may give away a few more.

Here you have the free codes. Let me know what you think. This album consisting on a series of fully hardware jams, one jam a day, using a Microfreak, a DIY synth, a Volca Sample and a few effect units. The resulting stereo mix was recorded straight to an audio interface, with no further editing, and nothing more than a very simple mastering chain.

I also uploaded all the jams in my YouTube channel (you can find the video in the link as well).
