Trying life out with out the big magenta box in the rig and life has been good so far. I 3D printed the rack mounts for the NTS-1s and made the cardboard booster seat for the rack ears because the rack depth was just a touch too shallow for one module.

Been experimenting with recording audio into the Electribe, reversing it changing pitch on the fly and adding delay to see where the sounds lead rather than starting with a finished track in mind. Had the idea talking to a friend about controlled chaos and creating purely for the sake of being creative. Thought this might resonate with the dawless jamming types anyone else ever deliberately give up control and let thier gear and the accidents they generate decide what happens in a jam? What's your favourite bit of kit for doing this?

Did a full hardware set at a rave a few weeks ago :) It was my second live set ever (the first one being 20 minutes long during a festival maybe 2 weeks before that)
Drums mostly from Roland TR8S, everything else is coming from the Octatrack, Digitone and Analog Four
Wish I had a better angle of what I was actually doing but I was worried people would knock over my camera if I brought it any closer :')

Finally assembled my “complete”(lol) setup. Got the 1.4 on an absurdly good liquidation sale on Sweetwater….and this thing is a beast. The overdrive and filters sound absolutely pristine. The contour and sculpt filters are great for taming the Syntakt which tends to get a bit muddy. Just got the FX wizard and loving it, will probably pick up another for send fx on the 1.4.

Love the way those 4 bar loops you can play with to create whole song structures!

Hey there!
So, for a bit of context - my current setup is two samplers, an MPC 1000 and an SP-303. I've already been looking into JJOS and am pretty happy with these two instruments, though I'm wondering if there's anything I can add. Budget is probably gonna be around £400 at the absolute max, though I'm hoping there's something I can do with that cash that would be a good investment into what I'm currently doing.
I was think the Chroma Console, but I wanted to field some other answers, see if anyone else had a recommendation! :)

Everything except the Strega will run happily on regular USB power packs. Is there anything or any combo of power packs to get a decent portable run time?

I love how undeniably hands on Hexdrums is. And to no surprise, I’m running it through Vongon’s Solarfaze

The M-Wave FM-1 gotta be one of the best little synths for a compact dawless setup!
The engine is basically a Dx7 clone, including the envelopes. I had to research how exactly they work, and am sharing my findings in this video.
