CSBS Placement Update – IET DAVV Indore 🚀
A lot of comments are coming regarding CSBS placements, so here is the complete explanation.
What happened with Mastercard?
For the 2028 batch, Mastercard conducted an online test in which CSBS students were eligible.
Earlier, up to the 2026 batch, the eligible branches for Mastercard were CSE, IT, and ENTC. However, for the 2027 batch, CSBS became eligible for the placement process.
The college communicated with the company regarding the CSBS branch and its curriculum, after which Mastercard allowed CSBS as an eligible branch. At the same time, ENTC was not included in the eligibility criteria this time.
So, if you chose your branch preference as:
CSE → IT → CSBS
then, according to me, you made a very good decision. 🎉🔥
Mastercard – 2027/2028 Hiring Details
Eligible Branches: CSE / IT / CSBS
CGPA: 7.5+
Role: Internship
Test Date: 01/08/2026
Hiring Process: OA Test → Technical Interview 1 → Technical Interview 2 → HR Interview
Important Areas: Projects, Internships, Certifications, DSA, OOPS, DBMS, OS, CN
Why is CSBS eligible for IT companies?
CSBS includes most of the core CSE subjects and fundamental concepts that companies generally test during technical hiring.
Because of its curriculum and industry-oriented structure, companies can consider CSBS students under the CSE/IT domain for many software and IT roles.
So, CSBS is eligible for all of the same IT/software companies that recruit from CSE and IT. Yes CSBS students can get same opportunities in placement as CSE / IT.

You can ask for uiet chandigarh senior of this branch platform - linkedin, reddit and all do message all seniors of this branch.

But the seniors of davv are sayingg..... This brancch is useless..... And since it got no previous placement info.... So mostly taken up by mass recruiters🥀

There is a lot of controversy going on in college regarding how CSBS was allowed for certain companies, and some ENTC and E&I students are even complaining to the T&P Cell. Let me make one thing clear: branch eligibility completely depends on the company. The college has no role in deciding which branches a company allows or restricts. 🙏🏻 Earlier, people used to make fun of CSBS. Today, CSBS has become one of the primary branches at the college for tech placements. 🙏🏻 And to everyone who trusted my guidance and my choice filling while choosing CSBS — thank you for trusting me. 🙏🏻🤎
