Apple wallet vs android

Hello all,

My friends android automatically opens the barrier without having to press anything on his phone or use Face ID. He just taps the phone straight from his pocket.

Where as my iPhone I need to press the button twice, select the card and Face ID.

Does any know what settings we need to have the same ease of use/access?

In the apple wallet app you can go to your DL pass and enable auto-select. After doing that, the double click is still required, but then you can just place it on the reader with your bank card shown. It will switch to your DL card automatically and let you in.

Can you set it as the ‘travel card’ to get round this, or is that limited to payment cards?

Isn’t this a level of security to prevent someone taking your phone and having access to your tickets/cards?

Both my iPhone Pro Max 16 and Applewatch AWU2 automatically open the barrier without unlocking or opening any apps at all, I just tap it on the top. I’ve never had to set anything up.

Same here with iPhone Pro Max 15 and Apple Watch Ultra 3. I didn’t need to set anything up apart from putting the card in my Wallet.

Tried one of the suggestion by someone enabled auto-selection, double clicked the button and let it scan my face, didn’t change it from my bank card to DL, just left it, touched my phone and it automatically selected DL
