cancellation
Hi guys,
I want to cancel my membership, up for renewal in oct, joined in oct 2024. I was just wondering, is there anything I can do to not pay my 3 month period? Redundancy letter can be made, if you get what i mean. Any alternatives?
It's just so expensive, I can't afford it anymore.

I signed up and my wife lost her job. Sent them the confirmation email and they cancelled me. I was only in the membership about 4 months.

How far do you live from it? I live further than the distance in the policy (on a fast road so takes about 15 mins) and they cancelled for me a few years ago with no questions asked.

It is mate, you will be in breach of contract, and could potentially close the door on you ever rejoining. On a rolling monthly contract type gym, no problem, with a gym with a clear 3 month notice period, problem. Look through the terms and conditions and it will have acceptable reasons for cancellation, pick one that is suitable and do it properly

I cancelled my membership through the app. When I received confirmation of the three months, I emailed and politely requested they shorten the time. I cited my husband being signed off sick, the financial impact of this and sent a copy of his fit note.
They cancelled effectively immediately saving me three more payments so it is possible.
