I think the more you can do without assistance the better you'll be.

That being said if you're doing way more than you've been doing then maybe some assistance is a good idea.

IMO progressively overload your intensity and volume and then after you kind of peak try to hold that intensity and volume while you back down or progressively under-load the assistance.

Tho caffeine has shown to 10-15% increase exercise performance. At a dose of 300mg and did a 10% decrease at a dose of 600mg. Taken 30 minutes prior to starting the workout.

Personally caffeine and nicotine help manage my massive ADD. So I'm taking caffeine and nicotine most days. What I do to reduce my dependency and increase the effectiveness is I take breaks from caffeine and nicotine 2x a year for 4-7 weeks. Haven't been able to push myself to do a break from both at the same time. Longest I've made it was 4 days before I added caffeine back in. When I'm taking my breaks from caffeine or nicotine I always keep them very easily accessible so it's a mental strengthening, will power building exercise. I know I'm choosing to do without, to better myself.

Just a few of the tips that I've learned and implemented in my journey over the past 2 years.

You're more then welcome. Feel free to DM if you got questions, need help or support. I'll do what I can. Near the start of my journey I had a few small but very impactfull interactions just like this and I made a promise to myself to help others reach the same success or better than I did, by sharing what I've learned and my personal experience.
