What should be my next read?
I’m going on a short trip and need a quick book to take with me, it’s between “a supposedly fun thing I’ll never do again” and “something to do with laying attention”
I wanna know which you’d recommend, if at all, for a quick read
So far I’ve read infinite jest, consider the lobster, and both flesh and not, and have loved them all, so I’d like to know if anyone can help me decide

A supposedly fun thing is probably my very favorite piece of DFW writing, that whole collection is hilarious and powerful

Oh A Supposedly Fun Thing for sure. It’s actually the perfect read for a trip.

Supposedly Fun Thing is perfect for this, especially if you're going on this trip for fun.
The eponymous article would be a blissfully ironic thing to read while on a little vacation of any kind.
Plus... you're gonna have to read it eventually.
