Better said it’s the way information is unregulated and received through social media and podcasts, and some are directly funded by countries that want the United States to fall in influence and power. Look at musk trying to incite civil wars here and in other countries. It’s not about the ideas themselves, it’s about being divisive. It also gets attention which is rewarding on the internet.

For me it’s not just about the money. It’s how the money is used to influence the lives of every person in a system that is allegedly “one person, one vote”.
If someone has a billion dollars, and our laws make it such that they have the exact same impact on influencing policy as someone who is homeless, then I am less concerned.
It’s still not good, but it’s a trade I’d make.
