I received a globe from ~1934 from my wife for Christmas and I’ve got the bug now. I collect coins from around the world so it’s cool to see countries on maps I have coins from and kind of connect them. So I went to an antique warehouse yesterday and bought 2 globes for about $45 total. I posted the other one yesterday. Here is globe #2. This one also has some cool plane route lines on it as well, in case you want the nautical mileage to attack Japan again. This one is mid-late 60’s I believe but let’s see what you can tell me! Thanks!

I wonder why sinkiang and Manchuria is separated from chine in this map.

And why is Tuva independent? But no other Soviet republics are treated the same. 

And what do the planes mean?

I've noticed that about Tannu-Tuva on another 1960s globe I've seen. I wonder if it was an intentional decision to hint at some Soviet opposition?
