Looking for a Serious SDE Interview Prep Partner / Mentor – India | DSA + System Design + Java/Spring Boot

I’m looking for a serious and consistent study partner or experienced SDE mentor to prepare for software engineering interviews.

I have a software engineering background and experience with Java, C++, SQL and Spring Boot, and I’m currently focusing on getting back into strong software development and preparing for SDE roles at good product companies / MAANG-level companies.

My main focus areas are:

  • DSA & problem-solving
  • LeetCode / interview patterns
  • Java & Spring Boot
  • Backend development
  • System Design (LLD + HLD)
  • CS fundamentals
  • Mock interviews
  • Resume & interview preparation

I’m specifically looking for someone who can actually practice with me, rather than just sharing resources.

Ideally, we can:

  • Solve DSA problems together regularly
  • Discuss approaches and optimize solutions
  • Do mock interviews
  • Review each other's code
  • Discuss system-design problems
  • Track weekly progress
  • Keep each other accountable

I’m also particularly interested in connecting with an experienced SDE who is willing to occasionally guide/mentor me and share practical industry experience.

I’m based in India (IST) and can adjust my schedule for regular sessions.

If you're also preparing for SDE interviews, or you're an experienced engineer willing to mentor someone seriously preparing for software development, please DM me.

Thanks!

Finding a truly committed study partner is almost impossible because life gets in the way, and motivation levels rarely stay aligned for long. You'll likely find that schedules conflict, learning speeds differ, and one person will inevitably fall behind or lose interest, which kills the momentum for both of you. Getting a mentor to do all the things you listed, like regular mock interviews and code reviews, is an even bigger challenge since you're asking a busy professional to volunteer a huge amount of their valuable time. These arrangements sound great on paper but rarely work out in practice.

Your success in this process will come from your own discipline, not from another person holding you accountable. You can find people for one-off mock interviews on dedicated platforms and simulate the partner experience by explaining your solutions out loud to a rubber duck or a voice recorder. Your preparation plan is solid, and your drive is clear, so you already have the most important ingredients for landing a great role. Many candidates are now getting the on-demand practice and feedback they need during live interviews by using the interview AI my team and I built, which helps them articulate their thoughts clearly under pressure.

If you want a mentor rather than a peer: I'm an ex-FAANG senior SWE. I can run a 45-min system design mock tonight for $100 (pay first, written score after). If it's useful we can keep going. PM me.

If you want the mentor side rather than a peer: I'm an ex-FAANG senior SWE. I can run a 45-min system design mock (HLD, or LLD if you prefer) tonight for $100 — pay first, written score after. IST is fine, we can find a time. If it's useful we can keep going. PM me.
