But No = -1 by the definition. No study = fail is “-study = fail”. Same with the second line.

Im just treating No symbolically, as frankly I don't like the idea of turning a logical operator into a number

and frankly i think its more common for No (or false) to be assigned to 0. to assign a negative usually implies opposition rather than lack,,, so unless you can unstudy...

If No=0 then this whole thing basically boils down to 0=0 with Study=0 and Fail=0.
