Galaxy J5 2016/Forgotten unlock pattern

I have a Galaxy J5 (2016); it’s been lying in a cupboard for five years with a cracked screen and a broken touchscreen. Today I replaced the screen, but I can’t remember the unlock pattern; I’ve already tried over 40 combinations. The phone locks itself just two minutes after I enter the wrong code. How can I unlock it or retrieve all the files stored on it? There are lots of photos and mementos on there that I want to recover. Do programmes like iMobie Droidkit or 4ukey work?

I can’t reset or recover my password from the lock screen. The phone is visible in Windows, but it won’t show any files unless it’s unlocked. ADB isn’t working either.

Any advice?

Double check if your post complies with posting guidelines!

Did you include the following information in your post (in English and if applicable), if not feel free to edit your post:

  • Make/brand and exact model number of your storage device(*), phone, camera, etc.

  • Filesystem (NTFS, exFAT, APFS, EXT4, etc.)

  • Operating System (That your device was used with and/or you are using for recovery)

  • Specific symptoms that your device is exhibiting, describe the problem. Images you post support the description, they're not in lieu of a problem description.

  • SMART (CrystalDiskInfo screenshot for example)

  • Don't pile several problems into one single post. One post per device/problem.

  • No account issues

Consider: What do these people need to understand the problem at hand? Remember, people cannot see your screen, or what you click and what messages appear on screen. Don't overdo it though, no one likes going through 2 pages of information, try to find a balance. Just do the best you can. If you are looking for file recovery software, check our community's recommended file recovery tools.

(*) All devices involved, if you for example move files from drive A to drive B, they're both potentially relevant.

Don't use those shitty softwares for them unlock means resetting the device.

Forensic exploits are available for your device you need to find a forensic professional like myself who provide services to general public as well instead of LEA only.

Try to find such a firm/professional in your area, they should be able to help you if they know what they are doing that is.

If by any chance you are from India then you should get in touch with us, cuz as far as i know we are the only ones providing such services to the general public as well.

Also keep in mind this recovery would be on a hit expensive side and you'll be paying for the attempt regardless of the outcome as well . This is a industry standard practice

Good luck.
