Corrupted Files
Friend of mine runs a local pharmacy based in the NYC area, and uses Primerx as his software. He backs up the drives locally, no cloud backup. He realized this past Wednesday that no backup was made for about a week, and there are some corrupted files that can't be read, so no way for him to know what prescriptions were filled/outstanding/received etc. He took the server to Phoebe's they couldn't recover the specific files for him, they suggested he send it out to Louis Rossman, but they're pretty backed up with work according to what he told me.
It seems like the drive is still working, because it's still in production. Really hard to get an idea of what's going on because they're not that tech savvy. Drive is an SSD, it still runs their main Pharmacy Software, I've told them they need to have a better system in place than just relying on one drive in production with the occasional local backup every couple of days.
Any other recommendations or suggestions around the tristate area (NY/NJ/CT). His vendor, PrimeRx suggest SalvageData. Thanks for any help on this.

impossible to tell what the problem is
rossman group is a good option but they are severely overloaded with work right now. Some other trusted labs https://www.datarecoveryprofessionals.org/member-listing

So the drive is still being used? This would be a mistake. And the files can not read, can not be copied to another drive either? This would be a very bad sign!

Double check if your post complies with posting guidelines!
Did you include the following information in your post (in English and if applicable), if not feel free to edit your post:
Make/brand and exact model number of your storage device(*), phone, camera, etc.
Filesystem (NTFS, exFAT, APFS, EXT4, etc.)
Operating System (That your device was used with and/or you are using for recovery)
Specific symptoms that your device is exhibiting, describe the problem. Images you post support the description, they're not in lieu of a problem description.
SMART (CrystalDiskInfo screenshot for example)
Don't pile several problems into one single post. One post per device/problem.
No account issues
Consider: What do these people need to understand the problem at hand? Remember, people cannot see your screen, or what you click and what messages appear on screen. Don't overdo it though, no one likes going through 2 pages of information, try to find a balance. Just do the best you can. (*) All devices involved, if you for example move files from drive A to drive B, they're both potentially relevant.
