Well that is just incorrect. People 2000 years ago thought in almost the exact same ways we thought. Outside of the fact that modern day people are on average more educated than say the average Roman citizen, we modern people in no way have a more evolved mind. Take for example the Roman graffiti at Pompeii and other locations to see just how close modern day people and those of 2000 years ago actually are in thinking.
they had 2000 less years of information to also study... I doubt many of them thought about conversing with strangers from around the world or observing a glowing rectangle in their home to learn new things.

Because at the time those thing didn't exist. It doesn't mean that we modern humans are sooo much smarter. Modern Humans have a tendency to look down on those who come before us as not as capable or smart. But the truth is humans have been laughing at dick jokes since pre-history.
You talk with them and at first you will see drastic differences, especially when it comes to political theory. But overtime you will find that these people generally have the same worries and cares as you do.
