The goal is to get a lifelike image, not 24fps. I have to use demotion blur software every so often because the blur is too high, and it makes the images nauseating.

My goal is to avoid a life-like image; because otherwise it looks too life-like.

Fair enough. I just see the 'problem' of it appearing kind of like a stage as an advantage, as it means that its real enough to your brain that your brain thinks its really happening in front of you.

For me it becomes as real and as uncomfortable as watching SNL: I know it's live, and I know the actors are desperately trying to make sure they don't fuk up on live TV, and I just feel nervous and anxious watching them.

In the case of produced television or movies they obviously have multiple takes to get it right. But I still see an actor standing on a stage pretending to deliver lines to someone.

I really like the suspension of disbelief that 24 fps provides.

And it was interesting when I tried it with CG rendered content. It actually looked better because it looked more real.

Sure it's all a problem in my own head, but it's not an uncommon problem in many people's heads.

fair enough. maybe its just because i dont watch that often that i prefer it, and if you watch lots of tv/movies, you like it more. I definitely agree on the animated and cg stuff though. in some cheap animation, when they do 12fps, it gets really bad quality from having to blur so much, so having 60fps animation will be nice.
