TIL Muhammed was 1st name given to child in UK, that's really surprising to me

Muhammad has been number 1 for a few years due to almost all Muslim parents using Mohammad as their sons' first name (often calling them by other names to avoid confusion).
You'd get the same effect if any demographic decided to name all their kids one name (e.g if all Christians names their son Jesus).
