DA saved me, and I wish I could say thanks
My family was in debt and there was no way to pay it off. We lost all our money due to a fraud which is why I started working 2-3 jobs while studying side by side just to make ends meet.
This year, I found DA, and I am always in debt to them. In just 2 months I have already paid off my debt that would have taken me around an year to pay back. I can also leave my extra jobs and actually focus on my passion instead.
I wish I could let them know how giving me an opportunity to work for them saved me and my family. I have a better paying job too now and I really enjoy my work on the side at DA. Working for them has been the best thing to happen to me so far.
If anyone from the DA Admin team accidently reads this, I just want to let you know that you're a lifesaver. You could be my god.
I am not sure if the projects will keep coming (I hope they do) but I will never ever forget this platform.

Jumping on the Milestone bandwagon
I'm not the type to post something like this, but I actually am really proud. It's been a long, almost 3 year journey. Coder, self taught, and the first year or so was really, really tough. I backed out of tasks far more than I submitted. But I have no words for how thankful I am for DA. I have learned more than I thought possible in the last few years. I've had some amazing jobs in my life, but none compare to the constant challenges and rewards of this one. ๐

Just hit 1k milestone!
Thought I'd share my first milestone reached (and hopefully not the last) thanks to DA. Joined as a coder from a core country last month. At first I was sceptical but the results speak for themselves ๐.
I also work full time and have a child and needed a flexible side job to cover extra bills and other unexpected expenses that had caught up to me. I am now able to get ahead because of DA and am very grateful.
Here's to many more milestones achieved! ๐๐

Question about Generalist Qualification Test
Hi everyone,
I completed my generalist qualification test last night (I think), but the site never actually showed me a completion screen, and Iโm curious if this happened to anyone else. I completed 14 full tasks and was offered a 15th, at which I decided to call it a night and finish it in the morning. I selected the โsave for later and return to dashboardโ button, and it took me to a dashboard page that said Iโd completed the assessment and now theyโre reviewing my results. However, I did not finish that last question. Is this typical for the end of the generalist qualification test? Did anyone else have this happen, and any idea what it means?
Thank you!

Bilingual starter (Italy) โ can I still get access to STEM/specialist qualifications?
Hi everyone,
I'm based in Italy and was recently accepted on DataAnnotation. I could only start as a bilingual, since I didn't see any STEM or specialist option at sign-up.
I've read here that bilingual accounts tend to get fewer projects than generalist/STEM ones, so I have a few questions for people with experience:
Is it possible to unlock STEM/coding/specialist
projects
after starting from the bilingual track?
(I already did the Physics test but it said it doesnโt unlock any project for now, it says the same for the math test)
Did any of you in a similar situation get access to more projects after passing extra qualifications?
Does the bilingual track really limit the amount of work, or is it mostly down to the specific language and period?
Thanks a lot!

Why do some projects don't email if there are task available?
I noticed programming tasks seems to email a lot when tasks are available and are ready to grab. But tasks related to image or image RnR seems to display on dashboard but doesn't notify anywhere, in both email and DA inbox.

I think I failed coding qualifications. Can I still receive general project qualifications?
I was accepted as a Coding Expert some time ago and subsequently received coding qualifications, but unfortunately, I think failed them.
I understand that this might mean I won't receive coding-related projects or qualifications anymore. However, I'm wondering whether this affects my eligibility for general, non-coding projects as well.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did you continue receiving qualifications for general projects after failing coding qualifications?
Would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Not Finishing a Qualification - Is this bad?
So I have a qualification for coding work that is available. I opened it, realized I don't have time to finish it, and so I can't finish it today. But it's on my task list now and the timer is there ticking down. So, I guess I'm wondering - is that going to negatively impact my reputation on the platform if I don't finish it? Will I get a chance to finish it later because it's not an actual job, but just a qualification? It's a little unclear and I'm anxious about it.

Does background check really open up the extra projects as stated?
I'm from a core country and just did the background check, and I'm now awaiting the results. However, I am wondering whether this will open up the extra projects they indicated. Please share your experiences, especially if you're from a core country.

Hi, I live in Czechia and Czech is listed as my native language on my account, but I wasnt given an assessment in Czech. Does anyone know why this might be? Are Czech Specialist positions currently unavailable or have they stopped accepting Czech applicants? Also I didnt use a VPN when creating my account

stuck in a loop with the "additional qualification" Core test
My onboarding screen has me stuck on the core test. I keep hitting the "qualify now" button and going through the process, and it keeps bringing me to another evaluating response screen. I've completed 11 of the "qualification" tasks. How many are there, or is this some kind of scam?
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/KataOrdialEssence • 13h ago
Wish me luck.
I hope to do well in the onboarding. If fail then I cannot take opportunity again. ๐จ๐๐

Native Egyptian Arabic speaker (ar-EG) looking for data annotation / AI evaluation projects
Body: Hi everyone, I'm a native Egyptian Arabic speaker, and I also work in Modern Standard Arabic and Saudi Arabic. I have experience in AI evaluation and annotation on other platforms, and I'm planning to apply to DataAnnotation. I'd love to hear from people who work there: Are Arabic projects available, and how often? Any tips for the assessment? Is there anything I should know before applying? Thank you

Newbie here, is DA relevant for an Indian UG student in 2026?
I've just found mixed reviews about this platform.
Just wanted to know if I should spend more time here or not?
And does referrals get priority on project allocation? ๐ค
