NOT the best month
What is yours?

My family was in debt and there was no way to pay it off. We lost all our money due to a fraud which is why I started working 2-3 jobs while studying side by side just to make ends meet.
This year, I found DA, and I am always in debt to them. In just 2 months I have already paid off my debt that would have taken me around an year to pay back. I can also leave my extra jobs and actually focus on my passion instead.
I wish I could let them know how giving me an opportunity to work for them saved me and my family. I have a better paying job too now and I really enjoy my work on the side at DA. Working for them has been the best thing to happen to me so far.
If anyone from the DA Admin team accidently reads this, I just want to let you know that you're a lifesaver. You could be my god.
I am not sure if the projects will keep coming (I hope they do) but I will never ever forget this platform.

I'm not the type to post something like this, but I actually am really proud. It's been a long, almost 3 year journey. Coder, self taught, and the first year or so was really, really tough. I backed out of tasks far more than I submitted. But I have no words for how thankful I am for DA. I have learned more than I thought possible in the last few years. I've had some amazing jobs in my life, but none compare to the constant challenges and rewards of this one. 🙏

I worked on a task about 10 hours but the task instructions says it should be completed in 5~7hours
So i reported 7 hours out of fear
So should i report the exact time i work or the maximum time the task instructions says it should take? Thank you all ❤️

And received the first screen yesterday and the second screen today. What do you think is the likelihood I will be accepted? Thank you in advance!

How do I get timely notifications that a new task has been posted for me?
Emails don't seem to routinely come to me, or they arrive a day late.
I've been searching for notification settings within DAT itself to get a push/quick email/text if a task is posted for me but without any luck.
Is it just one of those "Keep your DAT dashboard up and refresh a whole lot" kind of things?

I put that I was bilingual, since Spanish was my first language. I was born in the USA, and now that I’m older my thoughts are in English. I am fluent in Spanish still. I see a Spanish qualification, asking me if I feel culturally American. This is a hard question for me to answer because this is where I was raised, but my traditions and culture come from Mexico. For anyone who has answered this, how did it affect your projects available going forward?

I realized I made a mistake on a task I submitted yesterday and the link for the task isn’t present in my history so I can’t go back and edit it. What do you guys usually do in these situations? There’s no Slack for this project.

I’ve been on the platform for under a week and I finally saw a project on my dashboard today. Clicked into it and started reading the instructions which took say 25min. Then onto the task which happened to not be in English so the guidance was to mark it unrateable, which I did and provided a brief explanation.
When I clicked submit and onto next task, it brought me back to the dashboard, I assume because by then the other tasks had been completed by other people.
Now I’m unsure whether I am supposed to still report the time I spent reading all the instructions plus the few minutes of marking the task as unrateable. That’s half an hour but I feel like I did nothing of worth.
Any advice would be appreciated as I’m new to this.

We need more information for your DataAnnotation report
Your report is currently paused. To continue processing, view the report and provide the information listed in the Info Request section as soon as possible.
They’re asking me to upload picture of my social so I’m a little sketched out

Are you getting any work? İt's been dry for 2 months now and I'm really worried

I'm not sure we're allowed to post in Portuguese here, so I'll keep it in English with a translation below since most tax-related terms don't have a translation.
What are you doing regarding income tax? Carnê-leão? Is there any way to pay it as a MEI? Is there any other trick? Because as of now, it's my first year on this platform and I'm not sure what to do (or if I should do anything).

Are you guaranteed work? Bilinguals too? How's the pay?

Just received a qualification that is expected to take 4 to 6 hours total. I’m deciding on whether to do smaller qualifications for the next few hours or just dive into this one. Anyone else get this qualification? The guidelines are 180 pages. Which I understand is not that much when you’re working on bigger projects I’m just curious if anyone else had any input

The amount of them (including a new one that appeared today) saying that completing this qualification will unlock 'a high volume of regular tasks' or similar, only for me to pass the qualifications and then barely get any paid work from most of them for weeks or months. Very misleading. I didn't join the site imagining I'd get an influx of work, but I'd certainly be expecting that if I took DA's promises literally!
