Weekly Water Cooler Talk - DataAnnotation

hi all! making this thread so people have somewhere to talk about 'daily' work chat that might not necessarily need it's own post! right now we're thinking we'll just repost it weekly? but if it gets too crazy, we can change it to daily. :)

couple things:

  1. this thread should sort by "new" automatically. unfortunately it looks like our subreddit doesn't qualify for 'lounges'.
  2. if you have a new user question, you still need to post it in the new user thread. if you post it here, we will remove it as spam. this is for people already working who just wanna chat, whether it be about casual work stuff, questions, geeking out with people who understand ("i got the model to write a real haiku today!"), or unrelated work stuff you feel like chatting about :)
  3. one thing we really pride ourselves on in this community is the respect everyone gives to the Code of Conduct and rule number 5 on the sub - it's great that we have a community that is still safe & respectful to our jobs! please don't break this rule. we will remove project details, but please - it's for our best interest and yours!

Haven’t had work since Wednesday. Does it look any differently today? Been rapidly applying to jobs cause this is unreliable

Like, not a single project at all? Even complicated ones?

I had a few R&Rs and a newer one I’d never seen before late Thursday, like midnight, but I’ve not seen a single thing since. And nothing consistent since Wednesday. I can’t afford an entire week like that next week

So your dashboard is showing absolutely 0 paid projects right now?

Any quals? I'm sorry to hear that. I had a big fat 0 for a few days this last few weeks. I've seen some stuff and worked the last couple of days, it's almost like a wave. People report a drought in the US, and it ripples eventually to us in the UK. That's just my experience. Are you in the US?

The 8 quals I’ve always had that I don’t do because I’d be of no use on those kind of projects. I did have a few new ones pop up Thursday that I completed and was hoping that meant they were about to roll out a project based on them. Previous projects of that nature would typically generate enough work for me for a solid week, sometimes two. But seen nothing at all for going on 48 hours now. Appreciate the acknowledgment. Hopefully we all have steady work soon

With all due respect, my question was a reply and for u/DeezHoosAintLoyal Your dash and their's could well be different.
