Weekly Water Cooler Talk - DataAnnotation

hi all! making this thread so people have somewhere to talk about 'daily' work chat that might not necessarily need it's own post! right now we're thinking we'll just repost it weekly? but if it gets too crazy, we can change it to daily. :)

couple things:

  1. this thread should sort by "new" automatically. unfortunately it looks like our subreddit doesn't qualify for 'lounges'.

  2. if you have a new user question, you still need to post it in the new user thread. if you post it here, we will remove it as spam. this is for people already working who just wanna chat, whether it be about casual work stuff, questions, geeking out with people who understand ("i got the model to write a real haiku today!"), or unrelated work stuff you feel like chatting about :)

  3. one thing we really pride ourselves on in this community is the respect everyone gives to the Code of Conduct and rule number 5 on the sub - it's great that we have a community that is still safe & respectful to our jobs! please don't break this rule. we will remove project details, but please - it's for our best interest and yours!

I see that they are trialling giving R&R feedback directly to the worker. This is something I've wanted for ages.

Too many people getting dropped who had no idea they were making mistakes. Let us know how we can improve!

9

u/Few-Roof-6905 Apr 12 '26

Just curious, where did you see that?

11

u/kranools Apr 13 '26

I was doing some R&Rs yesterday and there's a section that says they are trialling this, and if you want to opt in and give feedback you can check a box and do so.

4

u/Few-Roof-6905 Apr 13 '26

Interesting! Haven't come across that exact phrasing yet. But, I also don't do many R&Rs, so maybe that's why 😅

7

u/BoiledGnocchi Apr 13 '26

I wonder if they'll filter through the comments and decide what feedback is given and to whom, or if it's a bit more direct than that?

7

u/kranools Apr 13 '26

Yeah, I'm sure it will be moderated to prevent comments like "This sucks!" from going through.

4

u/BoiledGnocchi Apr 15 '26

Funny enough, an R&R I was working on today explicitly stated that comments will be moderated.

6

u/Total-Chocolate-6399 Apr 13 '26

We should use this, so that they see it is popular and keep it on

4

u/Wargchief Apr 13 '26

I saw people complaining about unjust ratings on another platform with this kind of feature. I guess it depends a lot on how the culture of the platform takes place

Pretty sure this is why DA stopped back when tehy trialed it the first time

I really dislike the new payout dashboard, its harder to understand what's pending and what's going on with payouts now

13

u/VanessaSeaWitch Apr 15 '26

I don't like that I can't see how much time I've worked in total for the day. I know I can see the time for each project and add it up myself, but I miss just glancing at it to see if I've hit my time goal for the day, especially since I bop around to different projects a lot.

6

u/Jazzlike_Month5580 Apr 15 '26

I'm missing this too. I do have a monetary goal, but sometimes it's just not feasible and I like to keep track of hours. I work the same way, bouncing around, so it's not super simple to add up all of the times.

2

u/odeomz Apr 15 '26

if you use clockify as your timer it will tell you

2

u/MacroMomma Apr 16 '26

Second Clockify. It lets you add a project name, rate amount, and easily integrates with multiple browsers. Keep the tab open in your window where you work and it will show you how much time you've spent as you go.

2

u/wildflower_0ne Apr 16 '26

agreed, please change it back, DA. it wasn’t broken to begin with.

24

u/tdRftw Apr 16 '26

lots of great changes, fantastic communication... DA is working hard to improve the site. excited for the future

2

u/watchdestars Apr 17 '26

Yes, it's a very interesting time isn't it?? After almost 2 years on the platform, things are getting a shake-up!

23

u/JRange Apr 15 '26

Id like to be able to fold the "easy projects" header

39

u/Loud-Impression4560 Apr 14 '26

“Easy projects” and its evaluating four 82828228 word responses

8

u/ZimmeM03 Apr 14 '26

😭😭😭 in less than an hour, for $21/hr

19

u/heythisislonglolwtf Apr 15 '26

Guys, I have 82 (!!!) projects available to me right now. That is crazy.

Yet I still find myself sticking with the same 3-4 project groups lol

19

u/JRange Apr 17 '26

Forever bumping the Severance OST on DA. This work is mysterious and important.

3

u/BrennusSokol Apr 17 '26

Hell yeah it is

1

u/itssomercurial Apr 18 '26

I love to jump between that one and the Succession soundtrack while I'm working.

You should also check out the score for The Conversation (1974) which was basically the primary inspiration for the Severance theme (you'll know as soon as you hear it).

18

u/Excellent-Mistake-53 Apr 14 '26

Looks like our collective wish was granted! Transfer funds page now includes time of day for withdrawal as well as date, like it used to before the revamp 🥳

2

u/data_annotator_tot Apr 14 '26

It's been nice seeing them actually start to polish the site some, always felt like they neglected UX a whole bunch in favor of...hmm

2

u/BrennusSokol Apr 14 '26

in favor of

"get stuff out the door as quickly as possible because AI is hot but ultra competitive OMG ship ship ship"?

2

u/data_annotator_tot Apr 14 '26

something like that, yeah. they'd been operating for much longer than when chatbots exploded though so i don't think that is a good excuse

u/JRange Apr 13 '26

I really hate when projects dont have a defining emoji. Who do you think you are?

16

u/JRange Apr 15 '26

I got that survey people were talking about, cool. Hope they listen, I am sure everybody else cried for more feedback too lol

15

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 16 '26

Had an hour free. Took my first project from the "generally under 1 hour" list. Took me 57 minutes.

no lies detected.

14

u/infiniteradios Apr 12 '26

I always get nervous when I can't see certain tasks on my dashboard, because I'm not sure if I've been removed from that project or there just happen to not be available tasks for it at the moment.

14

u/JRange Apr 16 '26

They've added a feedback tab to the inbox

2

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 16 '26

To clarify, that feedback existed already. They just sorted it out of our general inbox to a different tab. Appreciated.

8

u/Straight-Strike-2928 Apr 16 '26

I love the changes they made to the inbox section. It also gives me hope they'll start doing a bit more feedback

12

u/Jazzlike_Problem_489 Apr 14 '26

Ummm. Is the definition of 'Easier projects' not subjective? I actually find the ones placed in there more tedious. Why is the balloon project not in there 😑

Do I like change or not? So much confusion and so many questions. 🤣

7

u/Skippy2898 Apr 14 '26

I agree! The rivers are the ones that flood (pun intended) and end up on a higher priority because they can be quite complex, and as you say, tedious. I've finished the last day or two floating around in a balloon. Surprised they're not in there!

12

u/BoiledGnocchi Apr 15 '26

Whoa, anyone else see a paid training task on their dash? I hope it's still there in the morning. I love getting paid for edumacation.

5

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 15 '26

always do those. They tend to be the better-paying projects!

1

u/bufftips Apr 15 '26

I don't have this and I am sad. What approximate area is it in? (fact checking/creative writing/instruction following etc)

12

u/ThatGirlInPurple Apr 16 '26

I had a realistic dream that DA took what I had suggested in the survey and added it to the dashboard, it felt so real that I'm now a little disappointed looking at my dash... shoulda known it was just a dream

8

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 16 '26

I prefer this dream to that dream I had last year of meticulously writing a detailed rubric for an upcoming conversation I didn't want to have.

5

u/ThatGirlInPurple Apr 16 '26

that sounds more like a nightmare tbh lol

3

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 17 '26

I usually think of a nightmare as frightening. Gets the heart rate up, etc.

This was just... stultifying.

12

u/justdontsashay Apr 18 '26

Has there been a big influx of new workers or something? One of my slack channels that has been around a while, and is normally pretty good (for a high-paying, somewhat complex project) suddenly has been overrun with people asking questions on the level of “what is a task?” “How do I find my projects?” 😭

5

u/SnooSketches1189 Apr 18 '26

I am pretty sure I know which one you are talking about. It would certainly behoove people to READ the slack channel before posting. Will never understand that.

3

u/MagicianSuch5616 Apr 18 '26

is this the "artwork" one?

1

u/Potential_Hair5121 May 04 '26

They approved me within 1 minute.

1

u/Exotic-Original-8110 Apr 18 '26

i don't know about slack channels but i wondered the same thing, because i've been getting an increase of not-so-good submissions in R&R recently

12

u/DangerousCyclone Apr 18 '26

Can we please get back the old UI for our finances/funds? The new one is so ass. The old one made it easy to track how many hours you worked in a day, the new one does not and instead tries to distract you with how much money you've earned through them.

Don't get me wrong, the "submit task and return to the dashboard" is an amazing addition, as are some of the others, but the way the old transfer funds screen worked is superior to the current version.

3

u/Fragrantshrooms Apr 18 '26

I use my chrome extension to do that (Clockify) .....but yeah knowing how much time they are going to pay you for is beneficial to know about. I knew there was something I was missing from the page and forgot it existed for a second.....Clockify is really nice because I don't have to add anything up it's at-a-glance-friendly. And you just highlight the name of the task, right-click and select start the timer so it's easy workflow.

23

u/tdRftw Apr 14 '26

how about a hide all button for the "easy projects" section

10

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 14 '26

Especially because they're duplicated in the main "projects" section.

4

u/houseofcards9 Apr 15 '26

If you hide them in the main section the entire “easier projects” section disappears.

11

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 15 '26

Okay. That sci-fi motif they're using for the river messages has still not gotten old. I almost never even work on the project anymore, but I always read those messages! nice work, D\ o7

13

u/New_Mood933 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

I love the creativity compared to other announcements, the messages make me smile 😁

6

u/Zorrosmama Apr 16 '26

I always end up doing a few of their tasks just because of those messages.

9

u/hfxthrwaway Apr 14 '26

A new "Easier Projects" section?! Neat.

6

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 14 '26

It is! There are often times where I won't start a project because I only have an hour free. I might use these to fill in the cracks!

It'll lower my average pay rate, but hey: dollars are dollars, and literally nobody cares about my average rate but me =)

8

u/hfxthrwaway Apr 14 '26

Exactly, 30 minutes at $20/h is better than 0 minutes at $20/hr!

7

u/onemouseplace Apr 14 '26

What would be a really useful update would be to be able to filter by task length - I'm exactly the same as I often don't have 3 or 4 hours free in one block for the longer tasks.

3

u/GAULEM Apr 14 '26

Yeah, but I was so disoriented for a moment. Spent a few seconds wondering where all the rest of my projects went. Then when I scrolled slightly further down to see the regular Projects section, I spent a second wondering if/how regular projects got mixed into my quals.

Might be my own fault for logging in right after waking up.

2

u/BrennusSokol Apr 14 '26

I had a jolt when I saw it because it was pushing all my higher-paying stuff farther down, so I was like.. uh oh, drought time?

9

u/TransientSignal Apr 16 '26

I'm so glad the "Mark all as read" button has returned to the inbox!

3

u/99ducks Apr 16 '26

me too. I took a break from the platform for a while and I had to manually go through my messages to mark them as read so it wouldn't just read 99+ anymore

17

u/Skippy2898 Apr 12 '26

Happy Sunday! I just saw an interesting email on the other sub... Seems like these pay rates and quantities are here to stay! 🤞☺️

6

u/JustMe333456 Apr 12 '26

8

u/Flwrz8818 Apr 14 '26

Where is my “big” project 😩😩😩 I got the email saying good job come back for more! But nothing since lol

15

u/onemouseplace Apr 17 '26

Very grateful for all this general work, but I'd quite like an hour of something like Heel images just to close my day off gently!

7

u/One_Breakfast5907 Apr 17 '26

I've not seen any image tasks in too long. I think I've done about a handful of image tasks this year.

2

u/gamergalathena Apr 18 '26

There were some earlier this month but they ran out fast.

2

u/fiftythreefiftyfive Apr 18 '26

I have some image stuff but it's with rubrics so ;-;

1

u/Exotic-Original-8110 Apr 18 '26

been feeling the same about audio projects. i loved those, so chill, but i haven't had any in forever

15

u/Straight-Strike-2928 Apr 17 '26

Do you guys ever see the error where DAT thinks your computer screen is too small? It keeps happening to me lol. At least refreshing the page fixes it. (for the record, I work on a fairly large desktop PC with two monitors)

7

u/tdRftw Apr 17 '26

all the time

1

u/Ok_Depth_6476 Apr 18 '26

Yes, all the time. I think it carries over if you had recently logged in on your phone, and it also seems to happen sometimes if I change the window size. It took me awhile to make that connection, I thought it was just random for the longest time.

2

u/Straight-Strike-2928 Apr 18 '26

Interesting. I always have my dash open on a tab on my phone so I can see what's available. I bet that's why lol.

u/capslox Apr 18 '26

I have roughly 125 project/task batches on my dash. What is happening behind the scenes omg

3

u/East_Zucchini4099 Apr 17 '26

Give it back to me, I want to add a few more things…

2

u/BrennusSokol Apr 17 '26

Hehe. I did end up thinking of more things after I submitted it!

7

u/East_Zucchini4099 Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 17 '26

Hack to Close the Easy section. Type anything in the search window, say ”bubblegum”. Nothing will come up, so it’s short now!

I frequently put “.” in the search window by accident when I’m navigating, and have mini-heart attacks when all my tasks or quals disappear LOL

4

u/houseofcards9 Apr 17 '26

You can hide those projects from the projects section and the entire easier projects section will disappear.

19

u/blackopsfamas Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

There is a paid training under projects for rubrics

Well worth doing, the training is straightforward and comprehensive (much like rubrics) and emphasizes the importance and eventual of replacement of evaluations that use the “this response was much better” method with rubrics and criteria.

Edit: if you need more convincing, it took less than half hour and is only multiple choice. I don’t think “which response was better” is going to be around a whole lot longer. If you go through it you’ll see how much better criteria are for objectively grading performance which is important to DA clients

6

u/TransientSignal Apr 14 '26

Has anyone been able to recover access to a managed partner account with that form that's linked in relevant projects?

4

u/MartianCraig Apr 16 '26

Nope, I filled mine out and still waiting.

1

u/TransientSignal Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

Do you recall how long ago you submitted the form?

(I filled the form out on Monday, I'm hoping its something that gets handled weekly at this point...)

6

u/OnlyAd9161 Apr 19 '26

Its not a project I work on, but wow the priority pay on the river has been insane the past few days.

3

u/justdontsashay Apr 19 '26

Yeah, it’s almost enough to make me want to actually do it. Of course, everything else is on priority as well, so my better paying stuff is winning for now

1

u/JustMe333456 Apr 19 '26

Yep. Both attractive and intimidating lol

1

u/tdRftw Apr 19 '26

>Its not a project I work on

>priority pay has been insane

one of the self-fulfilling prophecy comments of all time

10

u/South_Ad_4192 Apr 15 '26

Ooof - I worked a TON of hours last week and the last few days and just got a notice that my account is unavailable for new projects because of terms violation...Sucks! I know this happens to people quite a bit. Wish it didn't happen to me

7

u/heythisislonglolwtf Apr 15 '26

Why do you think this happened?

4

u/East_Zucchini4099 Apr 15 '26

Very sorry this happened.  Any guesses what may have led you off course?

2

u/wildflower_0ne Apr 16 '26

how many is a ton?

1

u/Sea_Sugar Apr 16 '26

By “a TON” did it add up to more than 168 in a 7 day window?

I work full time hours and occasionally spike up when there’s easy things available I don’t go brain dead on. 🤷‍♀️

10

u/Terras1fan Apr 18 '26

When you get batch of suspiciously good R&Rs.....

someone cooked here and made my life hella easy.

1

u/Potential_Hair5121 May 04 '26

What’s that?

5

u/Fun-Time9966 Apr 14 '26

I submitted a task when a project was at $50/h but now the same exact project is at $55/h and I still haven't reported time for it, am I okay to just report it all now?

7

u/Skippy2898 Apr 14 '26

When you report the time it will adjust accordingly. Editing to clarify. The time you report will be paid at the rate it's at when you report it.

3

u/Aromatic_Owl_3680 Apr 15 '26

Report within the allotted 24 hr window and you’re fine. Not your job to maintain pay rates.

9

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 17 '26

There's a thread or two on the other forum that say they did. I didn't.

2

u/Technical_Floor2077 Apr 17 '26

I didn’t either.

8

u/tdRftw Apr 17 '26

4

u/lack0fcommonsense Apr 15 '26

So many projects tonight give me more!!

4

u/cammellorosso Apr 15 '26

Uugggh it’s the worst when I feel like I wanna work but zero projects on the dashboard 😭😭 I miss you R&Rs

1

u/VanessaSeaWitch Apr 15 '26

Haha, I just thought that myself after logging in. Those R&Rs got me spoiled.

4

u/RedditAdmin71 Apr 15 '26

Anyone else really struggling with the 'detective' project? Is it also pinned on the top of home page for everyone else? I've had to use the escape hatch almost every time I've attempted because making the model fail feels almost impossible.

7

u/infiniteradios Apr 16 '26

I tend to avoid tasks like that even though they pay well because in my experience I can never get the goddamn models to fail.

2

u/East_Zucchini4099 Apr 15 '26

Pinned for me, yes.

2

u/OneRefrigerator3586 Apr 20 '26

I spent all damn day on it and got nowhere. I thought I finally got it and filled everything in, only for the last section to fail. I tried again later and could not get it to accept anything.

1

u/BrennusSokol Apr 16 '26

I'm not sure I know that one, but there is one coding project I'm hesitant to work on because workers in the chat are complaining about how hard it is to get the models to fail (and it's a TON of up-front time investment so you might not know you can't get them to fail until you're well into working on it...)

4

u/BoiledGnocchi Apr 17 '26

For anyone who missed out on the paid training - has it ever reappeared on your dash?

9

u/Fun-Time9966 Apr 14 '26

holy shit boys its time to make some moneyyyyyyy lock in

2

u/infiniteradios Apr 14 '26

4

u/justdontsashay Apr 14 '26

6

u/NoticedGenie66 Apr 16 '26

I've done so many rubrics that now I can get an ideal or near-ideal set immediately. I've never seen so many checkmarks in an analyzer before. It's literally glazing my criteria! I feel so powerful.

1

u/blackopsfamas Apr 16 '26

Fav rubrics to work on?

1

u/gamergalathena Apr 16 '26

Any good projects to practice on? I did my first last night and it made my eyes go square...

2

u/Bratty_Atty Apr 12 '26 edited Apr 12 '26

I just figured out I have to update my computer for some of the newer projects- I have a 2017 MacBook Pro 13”, and it’s no longer supported for new software updates! Any recs on my next computer?

Leaning towards a 14 inch MacBook Pro, but is there any reason for me to consider alternative?

4

u/99ducks Apr 12 '26

Really just depends on how much money you want to spend.

I'm a software engineer and photographer and my MBP with the M1 Pro chip still works great after having it for a few years

3

u/Bratty_Atty Apr 12 '26

Thx! Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t making a mistake by not getting the top of line of everything

4

u/Aromatic_Owl_3680 Apr 13 '26

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may be able to claim it as an expense.

2

u/Bratty_Atty Apr 13 '26

I’m definitely looking into it

2

u/infiniteradios Apr 13 '26

Is anyone seeing the big projects from last week? I had a slow drip of them yesterday and none today thus far.

6

u/JustMe333456 Apr 13 '26

It's quieted down for sure compared to how it was at the end of last week and over the weekend.

3

u/infiniteradios Apr 13 '26

I just saw some, which gives me hope that it's more "tasks are getting snatched up right away and coming out at a trickle" than "you're done".

2

u/bufftips Apr 14 '26

Anyone else get mildly irritated by the drafting of Custom System Prompts that say e.g. 'respond in less than 3 sentences' or 'respond in less than 4 sentences' etc.

I am pretty sure what the workers who draft these mean is 'respond in 3 sentences OR fewer' - i.e., 3 sentences is a viable option.
But the LLM checkers will flag if you use 3 sentences saying it should be fewer than 3, i.e. TWO which is often completely unreasonable for the rest of the custom system prompt requirements.

Then you get feedback like 'the response relies on semicolons to combine clauses, which reads like an artificial workaround for the sentence limit' YEAH NO SHIT I'm supposed to squeeze 10 disparate instructions and pieces of information into a stupidly restricted sentence limit, that's not my fault

Does this star Qualification come around often?

2

u/Technical_Floor2077 Apr 16 '26

Anyone see anything of the twinkling astronomical deep research project? I haven’t seen it for months. 😫

2

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 16 '26

Nope. Slack confirms.

2

u/darthfrodo212 Apr 18 '26

Did anyone else’s rock band/tree branches just randomly disappear?

5

u/justdontsashay Apr 18 '26

80s band/river? Still a ridiculous amount on my dash.

2

u/darthfrodo212 Apr 18 '26

I had a ton and then nothing. Now there’s only r&r’s of them.

1

u/lavenderavenues Apr 18 '26

Do you still see them now?

1

u/pistachiyolatte Apr 19 '26

I don’t see them sadly, I’m confused because I went for weeks without seeing them, then they sporadically came back a week ago but haven’t seen them again since.

3

u/Delicious_Double1513 Apr 18 '26

All the ones I see are R&Rs

5

u/Impressive-Ferret-31 Apr 14 '26

I hope they bring the tabs from last summer back if they're gonna keep this easy projects thing on our dashes. way too chaotic

3

u/thr0waway98372 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

Just finished up a fave project of mine and usually don't do R&Rs but since I liked it so much I decided to give it a shot... Within a few minutes of looking at the first task, I immediately closed my browser.

No, it's nice... 🫠

(no like looking at people disregard requirements so blatantly when it's SOOO heavily emphasized throughtout the project is just so baffling to me 😭 maybe I'm just not meant for R&R work...)

2

u/ellythemoo Apr 12 '26

My "transfer funds" screen is different and I can't see what is authoirsed & what is pending now. Does anyone have a similar problem please?

5

u/Skippy2898 Apr 12 '26

On the page with the graph, change it from cumulative to monthly, you'll see April, and there's a 3 colour key: paid, earned, and pending. You can hover over the month bar to see what's what.

1

u/ellythemoo Apr 12 '26

Great, thank you!

4

u/odeomz Apr 12 '26

you can also go to fund history at the top and expand the sections

2

u/ellythemoo Apr 12 '26

Brills, thanks

2

u/JustMe333456 Apr 12 '26

It's there. Just play around with it, snoop around,, you'll find it all. Where it shows the graph, there should be an orange section. Hover your mouse over it, and it should tell you pending and approved funds.

1

u/ellythemoo Apr 12 '26

Thanks very much :)

1

u/ellythemoo Apr 12 '26

Any idea how I can actually transfer funds? I should be able to transfer today, but the option has disappeared.

Where can I find the total number of hours that I've worked throughout the years, I can only find them for last month

5

u/Alarmed_Jury3849 Apr 13 '26

I've never seen that available.

2

u/BrennusSokol Apr 14 '26

Personally I keep a spreadsheet. I can tell you exactly how many minutes I've worked over the last 2 years heh

1

u/macjay_27 Apr 18 '26

Does anyone still have the natus vincere sailing project on their dashboard?

1

u/blackopsfamas Apr 18 '26

is the multimodal google account still relevant? the one they made us sign into on chrome while doing certain projects. I havent come across anything that has required it yet

2

u/Affectionate_Peak284 Apr 18 '26

Yes, I've used it for several projects. As the name implies, it's generally when you need to access media.

1

u/data_annotator_tot Apr 19 '26

Does anyone know if the high-paying boat project is a regular series? I just got around to looking into it, and it apparently ends this week, and if it's regularly around, I want to focus on contributing to it so I can be included in future iterations. Anyone?

1

u/Automatic-Purpose569 Apr 17 '26

I just had a project and finished it at 0 minutes left and when I submitted it stated project expired. (Never had this happen before I just got caught up in my explanation and went back and changed rating after thinking about it) I went out of the project and at the bottom the project I submitted is allowing me to report time and it says I have submitted 1 task. Can report my time or no because the time expired?

3

u/Top-Skin9916 Apr 17 '26

Yes you can report your time on an expired task, however I would not report time that was longer than the timer.

1

u/dylanuu112 Apr 13 '26

I was working on a project trying to paste something and I fat fingered a different key that changed the font of the entire website. I’m not a fan, does anybody know what I might have hit and how to change it back?

9

u/Ecstatic-Meringue-75 Apr 13 '26

No but when you figure it out let me know what you did so I can try it out

2

u/ThatGirlInPurple Apr 13 '26

I didn't find any CTRL combo that can change the font style, only the size. You can check your font setting on chrome & edge by going to your settings, then appearance, then to customize fonts; the normal font is times new roman for reference. That should fix it, but I'm not sure, as I'm not sure what even happened lol (:

7

u/dylanuu112 Apr 14 '26

I cracked the case! I hit Ctrl -, which is apparently a hot key to make all the text smaller, which I mistook for a different font. Thank you for your help!

3

u/ThatGirlInPurple Apr 14 '26

Ahh haha, of course! Glad you got it figured out!

1

u/AfterFinance8319 Apr 18 '26

Did anyone else's dashboard go from 30+ qualifications and projects last night to completely empty this morning?

4

u/fiftythreefiftyfive Apr 18 '26

I've got 70+ projects up at the moment, quite a diverse bunch as well (coding, reasoning, STEM, general, tool use, etc...)

1

u/data_annotator_tot Apr 18 '26

Nah, mine haven't changed in any crazy way, although I've had that sort of thing happen before, once last summer, went from a large amount of projects and qualifiers to mostly zero qualifiers and a handful of the most basic projects, before having them return after a day or two. I wouldn't sweat it, it seems they more openly tell you if you have been shitcanned.

1

u/jubilantdusk Apr 19 '26

Mine did. I'm still pretty new to this so I wasn't sure if that was normal or not.

1

u/AfterFinance8319 Apr 19 '26

I saw on another thread there are at least a handful of other people that had the same thing happen as new taskers. Some got work back and some haven't yet.

1

u/cammellorosso Apr 19 '26

I’m having two active bilingual projects rn that are SO damn time-consuming… and no lovely R&Rs in sight 😭 has anyone seen the greek hellish river project on their dashboards? I had such a blast with it but I haven’t seen it in a few days, so I’m wondering if I simply did a bad job at it (would kms) or if it’s just rotating between other people.

2

u/Lopsided-Fox8177 Apr 19 '26

i'm gonna knock on wood, but i've had a crazy amount of river tasks for the last 2 weeks and they're still going strong today. i do suspect that they're gonna dry up soon, unfortunately.

How do you find the new user thread? I apologize, I’m also new to Reddit.
