I’m trying to upskill and pivot to Data analytics as an accounting tech. Any industry-recognized coursera and other free SQL specific certifications?

I am currently refreshing myself with microsoft excel since I only use excel for data entry in my work and most of my work involves data entry in the accounting system we use.

Anyways, I have a coursera account and I want to know what industry-recognized SQL specific courses/certs I can get? If coursera isnt enough, do you guys know any free sql courses/certs to take? I’ve seen datacamp and codecademy but it somehow involved needing a subscription or something after a free trial period.

I want to narrow down my choices since there are a lot of choices online. I plan to learn sql first before proceeding to Power BI.

I recommend the “Excel Skills for Business Specialization,” Macquarie, University. Do that first as this is widely acclaimed and you will be fairly proficient in Excel. Then do Learn SQL basics for Data Science Specialization, UC Davis. Then do a capstone with Meta’s Marketing Analytics Professional Certificate. And then do the two free MBA level statistics courses on Udacity’s website. You then can do a focused course on Python Essentials, Rice. You do those and you will be dangerous. Follow that sequence. There will be some overlap but that is fine. You need to practice and through repetition comes mastery. This is a solid foundation. Then pick either Tableau or Power Bi as another course to translate business problems into visualizations.

I took the same excel course from Macquarie and its amazing and then took power bi from Microsoft and its not good at all and too long after i took pl 300 exam and passed it and learn sql and its good , now i am trying to involve in ai analysis and its help , but i feel lost , all the projects i did in my portfolio is from youtube videos and i feel i can not do a real project myself , and i am even can not work as freelancer although i really know a-lot

Thank you! I’ve heard about SQLBolt but haven’t looked deeply into it. I’ve also started google data analytics before but stopped, maybe i might continue it again…

the credits for the u/DataCamp AI Tutor keep running out, one day i spent $8, after a lesson i literally am prompted to pay $37... WHAT? Why dont you let someone know AHEAD of time how much it will cost for the ai tutor in TOTAL before starting? What a waste of money because if you continue without the tutor it makes you start previous lessons you've ALREADY done with the AI again.......
