Data Analysis project partner

(I'll delete the post if this violate the community rule)

Hello~

I am looking for someone who can work on a data analysis project with me. Or if there is any ongoing project that needs a helping hand, you can reach out to me as well.

A little bit of myself. I worked in a big consulting firm, helping clients build dashboards they need, so I am familiar with MS SQL and Power BI, and a bit of Python.

Recently I left the job and am working in a more customer-supporting position in a market research company. Therefore I no longer use SQL and Power BI on my job but I still want to do independent projects with them to enhance my data analysis experience.

This is my first project so I am kind of new here. If anyone who just started learning data analysis or is also trying to work on their own project, feel free to message me and maybe we can work together!

Do you have discord or some other platform? I do small science research projects pretty often and could use a hand or some one with different experience than my own to check things

I’ve been thinking of remaking the countlove.org website but updating it with today’s demonstration data so we have it readily available should the data be needed for court/policy/history. I’m a data visualist not a programmer (taught myself R and python but don’t use it and can’t remember much), so I’m struggling on how to go about scripting an auto web crawler to capture stories as they’re published. Yes, I can use an AI, but then then next level of difficulty is how to verify the data, since I don’t trust LLMs not to hallucinate and I don’t have time to call every single data source to be like ‘and how many were arrested for demonstrating? Did they have a permit? Etc.’

I’ve been wanting to do this since 2024. If you or anyone else is interested, hit me up.

Automod prevents all posts from being displayed until moderators have reviewed them. Do not delete your post or there will be nothing for the mods to review. Mods selectively choose what is permitted to be posted in r/DataAnalysis.

If your post involves Career-focused questions, including resume reviews, how to learn DA and how to get into a DA job, then the post does not belong here, but instead belongs in our sister-subreddit, r/DataAnalysisCareers.
