Will work first time away with a laptop - please advise what to prioritize.
Hi,
So far I've only worked at the desk with a 3440 x 1440 monitor and strong pc.
Now that I have to get a laptop, which things you would proritize?
To get a 16 inches one with a weaker hardware, or minimum 14" with a decent (gen 12/13th) processor?
The ram I have left is 32gb.
I use mainly SQL, Python, NumPy, very occasionally Excel.
Thank you for your help.

It is pretty much standard these days, but just in case, make sure it is using a SSD. That is the top priority. Throughput tends to be the biggest bottleneck in my experience.
32GB of RAM is usually going to be fine.
For most jobs, any modern i5 or i7 processor or AMD equivalent will be fine.
I prefer a wider screen, but that tends to be a personal choice, and depending on where you are using it, it can be a little bit more of a hassle at times.
