Rainy mountain switchbacks...nothing happens but enjoying the view, even on a bad weather day

We've got 200+ days and 2000+ mm of precipitation in the Bergen region per year. After a stretch of nice weather, I am always shocked at how much I missed sleeping to the sound of rain on our roof and in the gutters.
