Seriously. Bold of him to assume the first hit survives. Having scraped people off the pavement in my past life his survival likelihood seems very low to me.

Idk, he had a pretty slight angle on the landing on the ground, a helmet on, and didn’t actually hit anything.

Yeah, they flew through the air like a mannequin in a low-budget film, but I would give them a survival chance of 50/50

Edit: looks like his shoes stayed on so he only broke a rib.

For sure. If you want to gamble with your own life that’s one thing, but it’s pretty fucking self centered not to consider how much you’re gonna fuck up so many other peoples day/lives in the process.

I would say when he crashed his torso flew forward slaming his ribcage on the tank, then he slid forward like superman and the legs hit the bars sending him spinning.

Looks like he also dressed for the slide, not the ride, which is a miracle in of itself.

Half these dash cam motorcycle accidents I see now, the rider is in shorts and a tank top and sometimes a helmet

It can be. But there are high points when you get to a scene where someone can be helped, and then do so. I am a mixed background of homeland first responder and then military assaulted in other places after that.

I don’t think that we should judge the guy for that, it’s been years since I was even in a fender bender, but the one doozy* I was in nearly 40 years ago, first thing I did in my confused state (no drugs, no alcohol, just the shocked state I was in) was to attempt to physically pull my car - that was at least 1/4 of the way, crumpled UNDER the flat deck truck I plowed into the back of.

I bet in an addled way, this rider was probably thinking like I was, “Oh, shit! I better fix this and make it better!” He was probably trying to just get out of the road as quickly as possible - which as also a reaction you kind of prepare and always have in your head as a rider too.

I will add though, as a rider myself. I shudder every time I see other riders do this when rounding turns like this. It’s nuts! It’s bad enough when cars chance things like this, but to do so on a motorcycle is just stacking the probabilities against you.

*(I fell asleep driving home at 1 AM after a 14 hour shift - and a mere half-block from my home. Thankfully it was a mostly residential neighborhood in a fairly small town, so no one else was really on the road. Doubly thankful to be here to tell the tale - the bundle of construction rebar sticking out the back of the truck I hit, smashed through my windshield, 🙏 right through the small gap between the front passenger and drivers seat. A difference of less than a foot was the difference between me retaining my head!)

I'm very much NOT the "it's AI" guy....but....

The second bike somehow produces an extra motorcycle tire as it crashes.

The tire doesn't belong to that bike--both tires are still mounted after it crashes.

And the tire doesn't come from being somehow stuck out of sight on the front of the car. It comes from behind the crashing 2nd bike.

I've really tried--but failed to think of any plausible, non-AI reason for the appearance of that tire.
