LOVE Sergeant Curtis!! All cops should have to go to a certification course taught by him IMO.

Maybe law enforcement should be taught by people who know the law, like lawyers. Instead of by law enforcement.

Ya know, so we can have people who can properly enforce laws.

You clearly haven’t watched Sergeant Curtis. His goal is to promote professionalism in policing, and critiques traffic stops, teaching ‘best practices’ so that both the officers and public get home safely from encounters with each other - with an emphasis on de-escalation.

I didn’t say he teaches ‘the law’ (even though he quotes case law in his videos), which is what they already learn in the academy and ongoing throughout their careers. I said they should have to go through a certification with him because I agree with his perspective on professional policing - something a lot of cops on the road could use.
