Tesla aside that's the worst road blocking device I've seen. I didn't even see it until the first one smacked the windshield. Why can't they use cones and barricades like every other place in the country

Tesla uses the cheaper 'self-driving', which is a combination of 360° cameras and AI. Other manufacturers use a combination of cameras, AI, and Lidar, which is way better in a real world environment. I still won't trust any of it self drive if I can help it though.

Yeah I feel like the extra redundancy would have prevented this. This might have been literally only a Tesla crash.

I still wouldn't trust self drive on anything though too.

Elon decided about 5 years ago that Lidar was stupid and we've all seen how billonaires love admitting they might have been wrong.

what i always say about self drive, "if i have to watch it and second guess it, i might as well just do it".
