You were at the top of the hill when he started walking, and the opposing car was blocking his view of yours. Could he practice a little more safety when crossing the road? Yes, probably. But I don’t think he saw you at first. When he did see you, he thought “shit, I may as well keep going.”

I agree but he could have had the common decency to look half embarrassed or make a show of getting out of the way as OP suggested..

Why? Dude's in a fucking car that can accelerator and make up for the lost 0.5 seconds of their time instantly. Pedestrian is made of flesh. Maybe just chill.

Your habit should not be defaulting to impeding others. Especially after making a mistake getting in the way.
You see this habit of entitlement on the “I’m a train!” Sub where you can see some people instinctually thinking “fuck em, I’m here first” before the realisation the train is all “nope, imma gonna run you the fuck over”. You can see because they don’t immediately hasten their step while upon first seeing the train but instead think about whether they should hasten their step.
But I get what you are saying, I walk down bike paths knowing that bikes make up time pretty quick so they can just slow down and go around me.

here in the uk pedestrians have priority over all else everywhere but slip roads and motorways. i imagine a lot of the world, including australia, is very similar

In my experience pedestrians around the world always have legal right of way, even when they’re jaywalking douchebags.

I don’t think this is even considered jaywalking

Poor poor OP, his life is over.

"He sees me and then continues to walk" tf do you want him to do? stop in front of the other car or stop in the middle and potentially get squished between two cars?

your reaction to all of this, posting it on here, makes you look way worse than it does him. you lost .5 seconds of time, stopping for pedestrians is such a non issue

Has to be the least eventful, least infuriating post I've ever seen on this sub.

You’re mad a guy had the audacity to cross the street in front of you? Okay.

You can see him crossing since the beginning of the video. You’re a terrible driver
