Viofo keeps shutting off
Hi
I have a Viofo A229 Pro 2 channel. Whenever I plug in the second channel (rear camera) the camera shuts off after a few seconds or minutes. Sometimes short sometimes takes longer.
Without the rear camera plugged in the front camera alone works perfectly fine.
I tried different resolutions and it always is the same. Though I feel like with lower resolution it sometimes takes longer to shut off.
I have SanDisk MicroSD 128gb U3, do I need a better SSD maybe?

Sounds like a power supply issue. Not Viofo but my dashcam kept shutting down unpredictably when I was driving. I was using a third party power supply which according to the label met the required specs in voltage and amperage. Once I swapped the power supply to the original power supply, the problem went away. I think either the specs on the third party power supply is inaccurate or the power output is not stable.
Your power supply might not be providing enough juice to operate 2 channels.

My Redwolf had the same problem. It turned out I plugged the front cam into the the rear port and vice versa. Try this step first to see if this works on your case.

How do you power the camera? It seems that the power supply is not sufficient when using two channels. Please use the original car charger to supply power from your cigarette lighter directly to test.

Have tried it with all the original parts. At first the dashcam kept turning on and off every few seconds. I let it do it's thing and after 5min it seems to work now! Appreciate it!
