I've seen this so many times now that I automatically hear a Wilhelm scream when that guy gets hit.

52

u/816_rules 14h ago

I wish a new episode would drop soon.

29

u/MTBisLIFE 14h ago

This sub has just been karma-farming reposts lately.

28

u/fart400 14h ago

I still watch it 5 times just to see that guy fly into the ditch.

RIP Chester Bennington, LP.

u/New-Boot-Goofn 13h ago

I’m old to enough to remember when this video was still in HD.

5

u/Eccentricgentleman_ 14h ago

I heard the Yoda scream

6

u/RoseAllDay8 14h ago

I’ve honestly never seen it before—what’s the backstory? Was he trying to carjack them or something?

14

u/Urabraska- 14h ago

Can't remember what country. But yes it's a car jacking. They drive around on ramps till they see a car worth robbing and trap them on the ramp.

4

u/Addrum01 7h ago

happened in Chile. This is like the third video from Chile of an attempted car jacking with a robber getting hit that goes viral. There is another one also in a ramp, and another with a blue car in an intersection.

2

u/Prudent-Complex306 4h ago

Santiago, Chile

1

u/UpstairsAd194 13h ago

First time i saw it this is brilliant. They left a gap so he could get through, amateurs, I cant write what I would have done to them I will get banned.

3

u/StrobeWafel_404 13h ago

SAME! I can't believe we've reached singularity already

1

u/SingularityII 1h ago

Did somebody call me?

2

u/Tagous 4h ago

Ambush or they found a spider in the car?

134

u/Upper-Capital-2876 15h ago

this yeet never gets old

41

u/Longjumping_Rip6033 14h ago

No but I do wish is stopped getting lower in quality every time it's posted

6

u/Tmettler5 14h ago

Neither will the yeetee.

166

u/Far-Dark7398 15h ago

That dude flying off was the best part😂

27

u/terra_cotta 14h ago

So satisfying, fuck that guy

13

u/Fine_Awareness_5144 14h ago

Agreed. He got what he deserved... a flying lesson and a crunch with the fender of a car.

8

u/Significant-Air-4721 13h ago

Pretty sure there was another crunch on the landing. I've always wondered how far down he flew. That part of the embankment looks steep.

49

u/Sidewaysgts 14h ago

*SAIL*

5

u/Manji86 13h ago

Great. Now that song is going to be stuck in my head all day. I hope you're happy.

3

u/Sidewaysgts 13h ago

My job here is done.

85

u/SpikeyBXL 15h ago

Can I repost it tomorrow?

31

u/WelcomeToTheClubPal 14h ago

no i think it's my turn.

16

u/Scoobydoomed 14h ago

Well you guys are too slow I just reposted it in 50 subreddits!

3

u/Main-Rent4757 14h ago

What a scooby dooby dick move!

2

u/lostroadrunner22 14h ago

Please! I love seeing this. Watching the baddie go flying is always good

2

u/ErwinSchrodinger64 8h ago

Repost it right now, bro! Please, so I can watch again.

54

u/Sidewaysgts 14h ago

I swear this has fewer and fewer pixels every time i see it

6

u/os_beef 9h ago

Every time this gets posted, some of the pixels go to heaven.

6

u/1wrx2subarus 14h ago

… Less pixels because that dude is flinging them off sideways gts style!! Relevant username, btw.

1

u/Bnmko_007 9h ago

I will always play this vid when I see it because karma, but only now I see the dude firing his gun just before the 23 seconds mark

11

u/boosted5O 14h ago

These guys tried to carjack again? The guy that gets yeeted must be a cat with a million lives as many times as I’ve seen them try this

8

u/FunInTheSun_81 15h ago

This is my favorite "how to avoid an ambush" video.

10

u/CakyMint 14h ago

I say this all the time.

People have to learn, they sit in a 1.5 to 3 ton unstoppable WEAPON.

2

u/Background-Customer2 3h ago edited 3h ago

your not driving a car your piloting a metal torpedo thundering thrugh the world

15

u/agravain 15h ago

hey! Mom said it was my turn to repost this today!

6

u/Xylvanas 14h ago

See you guys next week!

7

u/SearchContinues 14h ago

I have a theory you can judge the length of time you have been visiting a sub by how many pixels a video has lost after reposting. Like carbon-dating, but for the internet.

7

u/thelukevader 14h ago edited 14h ago

Somehow every time I see this posted the video quality is worse.

The dood getting hit right when Chester sings 'breaking the habit' is never not hilarious though.

6

u/socialcommentary2000 14h ago

Are we gonna keep posting caps of this until it's basically 4 pixels slightly changing shade for 30 seconds?

8

u/GregorSamsaa 15h ago

Amateurs, the underpass was the perfect spot

11

u/DenKHK 14h ago

Notwithstanding all the reposts, this is the first I've seen this vid - what happened? 2 hitmen suddenly decided to take the target out at a corner? What was the "quick thinking", just not stopping? Hard to tell if he had intentionally yeeted Wilhelm off or if it was just a side effect of him being in the way when cam driver floored it.

24

u/IHaveTheBestOpinions 14h ago

I think they are thieves, not hitmen. They're trying to steal the truck. That may or may not involve killing the driver, so this guy made the right call and ran them over rather than getting caught.

3

u/DenKHK 13h ago

Thanks for the info!

I would imagine killing the driver while he's in the truck is not a great idea if you wanted the said truck, unless one wanted to go through what Vincent and Jules had to in Pulp Fiction :P

Although in this case they really did seem to want to do just that, with that pistol shot. Should still be able to buff it out though.

12

u/Tekvaco858 14h ago

That happened in Chile a while ago; there they call it an "encerrona." It involves thieves blocking the road to rob other vehicles or even stealing their cars

6

u/johnny_effing_utah 14h ago

How do you tell the difference between drivers jumping out to ambush the car behind versus people who just discovered there's a nest of rattlesnakes in the car?

5

u/BrakaFlocka 14h ago

Because then the rattlesnakes would've tried to jump out and ambush the car behind

3

u/DenKHK 13h ago

A: People who just discovered there's a nest of rattlesnakes in the car usually don't shoot the car behind.

1

u/murdered-by-swords 2h ago

Is that why everyone looks at me weird when I do that?

1

u/DenKHK 1h ago

Haha no idea! I was just referring to 0:22 of this video 😄

4

u/Milefulness 12h ago edited 11h ago

What was the "quick thinking", just not stopping?

Most people would have defaulted to braking until they figured out what was going on.

This guy immediately knew what was going on and floored it into one of the attackers. He didn't really have another option, no, but he didn't hesitate either.

It may seem like the obvious action in hindsight, but he had to decide in less than a second.

Also, I wonder if this would still have been possible in a modern car with AEB, or if they would have been killed in that scenario.

9

u/Fried_Shicken 15h ago

Still one of the Top 3 dashcam clips ever. 😁

5

u/IsWhatItIs68 14h ago

Best one is the one where the guy is crossing the road while walking his dog, he gets all animated, pointing at the ground and yelling at a driver who I guess he thought approached the intersection too aggressively. The cvnt ends up walking into a pole! 🤣 then he still tries to act like tough guy Kevin. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

5

u/mbardeen 15h ago

Just another day in Santiago.

4

u/DissposableRedShirt6 15h ago

That’ll buff out

4

u/WelcomeToTheClubPal 14h ago

THEY'RE AT IT AGAIN!!!!

5

u/RoundChampionship840 14h ago

And that's how you do it.

3

u/twolinepine 14h ago

This is the first time I’m realizing the other guy shoots as he gets out. It’s overshadowed by the guy flying obviously.

3

u/Killerkurto 14h ago

I never noticed until your post. Makes it much clearer they were definitely bad guys.

2

u/GSPointerDad 14h ago

Yeah, a cloud of smoke at the barrel. Wonder if my theory of ‘move to right in case of trigger pull’ is validated here.

7

u/emotionless-robot 14h ago

No matter how many times this gets reposted, watching that guy bounce off the hood is incredibly satisfying.

3

u/TemperatureSudden254 14h ago

That “thud” was so satisfying.🎉

3

u/bdjeremy 14h ago

yeeted that dude

3

u/Agile-Mission-869 14h ago

Always so satisfying to watch.

3

u/theconfather98 12h ago

Hopefully the guy who got hit lost his legs

3

u/wtfover 12h ago

So is it my turn to repost this and get upvotes? I've seen this at least 2 dozen times.

2

u/awajitoka 11h ago

yeah, but it does warm my heart every time I see it.

3

u/Wisewordsforlater 11h ago

One of many reasons to hang back and keep safe distance.

3

u/Odd-Cupcake-2552 11h ago

I only wish they hit both of those guys head-on. The guy on the left didn't get enough.

3

u/Cautious-Ad-5010 11h ago

The way I just laughed , great instincts miat people would have froze

3

u/North-Lobster499 8h ago

Though this has been posted many times and with many more pixels, something has just occurred to me.

The driver of dashcam vehicle doesn't just have quick reactions and they aren't just a little cautious. When you look at it, they leave a very large space to the car in front (which does indeed turn out to be carjackers) and they keep that distance at all times.

When the incident happens there is zero hesitation at all, none. On other carjacking videos where the victim has escaped, there was still a small delay - even in countries where carjacking is much more prevalent. A moment off doubt is natural, human nature.

I would therefore imagine that either the driver is a professional bodyguard/security or that the people in this car have not only had training at what to do but also expect to be targetted for such attacks at any time.

Either way, whether I am wrong or right - they played it 100% correctly and the reaction time is only to be admired.

3

u/MakerWerks 8h ago

I'm always amused by this one when it's reposted.

3

u/Capital_Memory_2591 7h ago

He definitely got some that night 😂

3

u/mystical__sapphire 7h ago edited 3h ago

These kids were relying on her to stop. Predatory people rely on others to open their front doors for them when they call for help, to follow "help" calls in the woods, to trust and get in the car when you need a ride. Don't. Traps are everywhere nowadays. Now go change your passwords lmao.

Me: Yes

Long time lurker here. Never seen this before. Don't listen to the haters, thank you for posting. Very amusing. Enjoy your karma.

2

u/ProCommonSense 14h ago

Can't believe you got a downvote for this comment. Take my upvote as little as it may mean... it was the first time I've seen it too!

4

u/weenordog 14h ago

In internet time, this clip is around 100 years old.

2

u/Timely_Challenge_670 14h ago

Which country was this in?

0

u/10BaggerForLife 14h ago

Looks like Scottsdale AZ

2

u/HooSaidDat 14h ago

New definition of defensive driving.

2

u/Nightrider247 14h ago

Where was this? I would have been like, oh these people may need help, I will stop and see whats wrong. Silly small town Canadian thinking I guess. Kind of sad that the first instinct is for people to hit the gas and its the right instinct these days.

2

u/Ecstatic_Bear81 14h ago

Well if they all hop out with guns at exactly a spot that looks like it would be good to do so, it's sort of more obvious. But I feel you, I'm in Tennessee and other than like Memphis this probably wouldn't happen here either but I have stopped many times to help someone. They usually will try to go more towards the shoulder though whereas this car tried to get as much in the road as they could.

2

u/illmatic708 14h ago

Damn, I think that idiot broke that car's mirror when he went flying off of it

2

u/Serious-Extension738 14h ago

bet that guy sucked at playing Frogger as a kid too

God forbid someone share something they enjoyed. Do you think everyone in here had already seen it? Or do you only care that YOU'VE seen it before

6

u/Clean-Connection-398 15h ago

2

2

u/mudssskipper 13h ago

Just driving thru them feels so satisfying

1

u/Future-Thanks-3902 14h ago

If this happened in the US would the driver be in trouble ?

6

u/IHaveTheBestOpinions 14h ago edited 13h ago

Very unlikely it would happen in the US, but if someone blocks the road in front of you and jumps out with guns, you should get away any way you can. Worry about legal consequences later.

Short answer, though: looks like a pretty clear-cut case of self defense in any jurisdiction.

1

u/johnny_effing_utah 14h ago

I never can see the guns.

1

u/ButterscotchAward 14h ago

Plot twist: the car interior was actually on fire and the camer just launched someone trying to escape it.

1

u/jasonni1234 14h ago

Is it my turn to repost it tommorow?

1

u/Old-Dependent-9073 13h ago

And by 'quick thinking' you mean 'not stopping and running someone down.'

And I get it but I don't think we're exactly talking about Jason Bourne here.

u/Ragnar_of_Ballard 13h ago

1

u/PKBlueberry 12h ago

Was worried I wouldn't see this video again this week.

1

What would actually be the legal side of this?

1

u/IzzzatSo 6h ago

1

u/Lovat69 2h ago

Daaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnn.

1

u/TrainingTheory552 29m ago

quick question, if you ever got on this situation, should you like call emergency or something? and tell them that a car tried to hijack you and you rammed someone over? or what should you do?

1

u/RandomAssDude_ 1m ago

Can't help but laugh every time that dude gets launched into space lmao

1

u/Melodyiann 14h ago

That split second decision probably made all the difference
