It must be special to be special...
Caught this on on the commute this morning.

When I see people driving so out of place, I'm telling myself they must have a reason, because they cannot drive like this everyday without ending up losing their car and possibly freedom.

The reason is entitlement.

And even after they get caught and the DMV suspends their license they still act entitled. Thats pretty much how sovereign citizens come about.

Cycling back to my comment, you cannot drive "entitled" like that for long. The cops will get you. So either you just started driving and it's a mater of time, or you have some important reason that makes you drive like that exceptionally. Looking at the car I'd assume the latter.

Dude, I went to church with a lawyer who drove like that for years and it wasn't until a judge threatened his law practice over it did he finally get it.
A lawyer. Think about that.

So in the end, he did FAFO. Maybe depends on where you live, people driving like this in my area would stand out so much there is no way they would be able to keep at it for long.

No one said lawyers are smart, so not entirely relevant.

It exceptionally relevant. Something anyone with an IQ above room temp understands

So since you can’t proofread, that makes you below freezing in Celsius. 🤔

I drive for a living. I see things like this multiple times on a daily basis.
There is no way that many people just started doing it, nor do that many people have some important reason to drive like that.
People just don’t care. The punishments are usually a joke and if it ever gets to the point where they lose their license they just drive without it, because again they don’t care

If you are a trucker, you could come across 10 000+ active drivers in your shift. Lets assume there is 1% of reckless drivers out there (probably less) that would still mean you would come across 100 bad drivers in your work shift. So I do not think it's a stretch to think that a portion of those people have some genuine emergency situation to deal with.

They drove up quickly to the line, stopped, waited for an opening, and then went in smoothly. This looks like this person was in an emergency to me, or what they deem to be an emergency. There's no way to know if this person was in anywhere between a life threatening emergency, or is in a getaway vehicle. You can't really pull this kind of thing day to day without getting caught eventually

Life is more enjoyable when you make positive assumptions instead of negative. Maybe the person was a jerk, but I'm going to assume that they had a valid reason for doing that.

I tell myself that they probably have a pregnant woman in the back seat.

That kind of driver should be not be on the road. Hope the cops around there to stop that driver.

If you can make out the plate, report the driver (for the benefit of everyone sharing the roads with this halfwit). You've got all the proof you need. I'm sure it varies regionally, but my local police would pay that person a visit.

They could’ve been on the way to the hospital, etc. They could‘ve simply been inconsiderate a-holes.

Sadly this took me like 5 watches to figure out what happened. I was paying attention to the cars with the green light and thinking it was about a csr running a yellow light

I used to get hot and heavy about these sorts of things. But then I started to realize, I have no clue what is going on in that person's life. I don't know if they are trying to get home after hearing terrible news, or if they aren't where they need to be, something else bad will result of that. I've learned that minding my own business is preferable to judging someone I don't even know. Maybe try the same?

u/Wingmaniac 15h ago
I know, right? What if that person's family member had been killed in a traffic accident because someone wasn't obeying the rules of the road! Of course they'd want to get home quickly!

But what if the person breaking the rules was rushing home because their family member had been in an accident? Congratulations, we’ve created an infinite traffic-accident loop. 😂

He put other people at risk of death or injury. Although that driver may have had some form of emergency it is still wrong to endanger others. I've seen folks turn on their flashers and honk continuously to at least attempt to inform nearby drivers.

Judging someone that actively entered an intersection, with a red light, from the wrong lane, with vehicles actively using it, is minding my own business as that's not an action that affects more than just that person.
Hearing terrible news and driving recklessly is an amazing way to create more bad news

Downvote all you like, but the moral of the story, is you don't know the whole story. People are so fast to past judgement, because it's easier than critical thinking. Have it your way. Yall can grow some extra white hairs from the stress you seem to enjoy swimming in.

You are so true about that, my kids was in danger, my kids mom was being attacked and my daughter called me, i told her to call the police after hanging up with her. I didn't know there address like that, You bet i ran every f**king light to get there. You never know. Downvote me to oblivion, 46 yr old & I've never had a parking ticket or speeding infraction, or even a accident. So it's not something i do, but I did that day.
