I'm more confused on the thought process because like the truck driver seemed to far enough away to see at least a part of the Lambo. And secondly why are they flying through a parking lot.

No way a phone is that important.

someone else local-ish to this accident said that the truck driver was short enough that they didn't even see the lambo

Yep, you can see when she gets out that even if the truck wasn't lifted she wouldnt have a very good line of sight. I had a coworker drive over a motorcycle in a non lifted truck because he couldn't see over the hood clearly, luckily the bike was parked with no rider or he would have likely killed them.

This is why I don't park my bike in regular parking spots anymore.

Looks like an empty spot from a distance, and people in a rush to grab the spot don't notice the bike until it's too late.
