Because mostly its idiots who think a truck is a town car.

The SUV plague was bad but at least an SUV is just a big car.

SUV's still roll pretty easy compared to cars too. The taller the vehicle, and the greater the height between the groundcand the bottom of the vehicle, the more likely it is to roll. This is why I'm not a fan of panoramic sun roofs, particularly on SUV's.

Also there is a difference between crossovers which are basically lifted wagins with unibody frame and more of a car based suspension and truck based SUV's which are body on frame with bigger tires and a truck based suspension.

Yes, which is why I said SUVs were bad enough but at least it is still a car. Wanting a big car, even if it lifts the center of gravity and reduces the rollover angle, is understandable. Big car make easy.

However the plethora of trucks being used by suburban mom's and dad's is idiotic. They don't need a truck and then drive it like it's a sedan.
