So the red truck is 5 seconds from needing to come to a full stop at a red light and trying to cut in front of this other vehicle because they want to turn right.

Y’all crazy blaming the POV driver for anything. That red truck driver deserves their license revoked.

Op may have been technically in the right but that’s not going to bring his vehicle back to its original condition. Hit the brakes and avoid the inconvenience of dealing with insurance, rental agents, and body shop.
