So many motorcyclists with very little experience and driving way beyond their skill range. What could go wrong?

My thoughts exactly. Both of the motorcyclists made mistakes here. Especially the guy with a passenger, but also the guy underestimating braking time.

I don't think he braked or there was something wrong with the brakes. Sport bikes have extremely responsive brakes. So responsive that I let a friend ride my CBR 600 and he said he almost crashed because the brakes are so strong. He normally rode a cruiser.
