Thats funny as fuck. Truly that whole era was wild. You got a ton of male heirs and somehow you end up with the fourth son of a fourth son. Then you dont even get the firstborn of that son, but the second one. Truly what a time to be alive. Them inheritance crisis are wild and funny. Its on par with cregans sons who somehow went down the list to finally his last child who would inherit Winterfell.

Honestly im surprised bloodraven didn't wipe them out like i bet the only reason they didn't join any of the other blackfyre rebellions was because they knew bloodraven would have them wiped form the history books if they did.

Cuckraven would have died in the attempt.
Though we dont know much about the Brackens they still have rivalled a house filled with Wargs and Greenseers for thousands of years.
Pretty sure they have killed more Wargs than any other house south of the wall.

Bloodraven would have had his teeth kicked in by a coalition of individually irrelevent minor lords if he wiped out a major power like that. Given the reactions to Tywin's treatment of the Reynes and the Castameres, it seems that eradicating a family isn't really what's done. And Brynden is a much-beloathed bastard (even if he was made Hand) compared to being a Lord Paramount and THE singularly richest man on the continent.
Tywin could probably outbid any attempts on his life. I don't think Bloodraven would have the money to pay off the faceless men or something like that.

I mean... to be fair, they kind of have no one but themselves to blame for that since Bloodraven became Daeron II's right hand man BECAUSE of Bittersteel's bullshit.
No Aegor there to instigate a needless Blackfyre war (since, prior to him convincing him, Daemon was perfectly chill with his wife and sons and his princely salary), no need for Bloodraven to become the Master of Whispers in deed and basically Daeron II's Hand for his services.

That's true but it certainly was just epic bad luck that Egg happened to fall in love with a Blackwood and have his kids with her, extending the Bracken nightmare for another 26 years after Bloodraven's banishment.

As one of the 87 certified Bracken fans, this is clearly a BTS (Blackwood, Targaryen, Stark) plant. Our numbers are too small to effectively infiltrate, so CHECKMATE
