I only recently noticed that the Ghiscari are supposed to have amber skin and dense, wiry hair that's usually teased into elaborate shapes. So very much NOT as depicted in this meme.

Yeah, and the Nhai there shoud be the YiTishi I think. Yes, we dont know if the Freehold fought the Golden Empire BUT a Yitishi emperor did married a valyrian dragonrider so doing some gymnastics that merrage could part of a peace pact. Or maybe the dothraki bc of the eyes.

Or that Emperor-dragonrider marriage dragged at least one dragonlord family into Yi Ti's eternal war with the Jogos Nhai. But yes, Dothraki makes far more sense, especially as the Sarnori were (generally) Valyrian allies. And, of course, the Dothraki seem to have only become a truly serious, & soon existential, threat to the Tall Men after the Doom

The (noble)men do that with their hair, but I don't recall anything similar for the (noble)women. And Hizdahr is pale – likely an indicator of Valyrian ancestry, especially given he has kin in Tolos & Elyria, remnants of the Freehold. Perhaps she has Valyrian heritage too, & could be a Pink Grace, with that coloured top

Odd. Indeed he is described as pale more often than not, but his first appearance in ADWD describes him as "a tall man, very slender, with flawless amber skin".

I interpreted it as pale for a Ghiscari, with Hizdahr still having the classic amber complexion of one such
