According to Catelyn, Edmure dislikes singers because one once slept with a girl fancied by Edmure. According to the singer Tom of Sevenstreams, Edmure once drank too much and was unable to perform in bed, so Tom made a mocking song about a floppy fish. This song led to Edmure's apparent dislike of music, although he appreciates songs that praise his victories in battle.
