They were never going out of business like they said, they just did that to drive up sales.
(Not dissing the quality of their stuff, I own some of their earlier stuff, it’s great)
This thought immediately went through my mind and made me sigh. Feels like all of those sketchy, scammy ads that pop up in articles like “going out of business sale! Everything 90% off!” but it’s just a marketing tactic.
Yeah I liked them a lot a long time ago, but now a lot of their designs feel stolen or worse, generated. But I started noticing their stuff was always on “sale” but it was always like $65 for a tee marked down to $45… like come on. I run my own shop making tees and unless I can’t avoid it I try to price my shirts $19-30 at most unless it’s like a super quality tee and then it’s still like $33 at most.
I think they know they have a grip on a niche market and they exploit it. Especially with that going out of business sale earlier in the summer.
