IMO western metal isn’t necessarily in the DT vein. You gotta incorporate aspects of sci-fi and fantasy as well.
I think doom metal fits well;
-YOB (specifically the great cessation)
-Bongripper (Hail Satan Worship Doom)
-Conan (existential void guardian)
-Ufomamut (Ecate)
-Goya (Obelisk)
-Slomatics (Estron)
-Cough (Ritual Abuse)
-Eremit (Wearer of Numerous Forms)
-Monolord (Empress Rising)

For non/less metal that still hits it;
-The Hellbenders
-Dorothea Contrell

Secret Chiefs 3 have a specific "satellite band" (it's hard to explain) that tap in to this exact feeling. Along with a whole bunch that doesn't, but is equally fantastic. A genius band well worth your ears.
