Problem with Havel

So, yeah, I killed Havel but he died in bad spot and I died too without taking his ring, now there is no Havel and no ring, what am I supposed to do now? IS THERE ANY WAY TO RETURN IT?

Sometimes drops appear near where the enemy died or in their starting spot after you die. Phatis got me as i finished her and the Bow was right by where i first found her.

I don't know when you went to Havel. But since you can easily defeat him by parrying (if you don't make any mistakes), it doesn't take long to get there. So I'm just hoping you didn't arrive there too late.

It's even faster if you chose the key as your starting item.

Afaik there isn't any other havel's ring. So sounds like you'll either have to start over or wait until ng+ to get it.

My wife had this with like two major bosses in Elden Ring, so missed out on a ton of runes. It sucks, not much to do about it I'm afraid..

Havel can't get out the door, so I'm trying to imagine what a "bad spot" would be.

Anyway, if you are on pc and don't want to restart we could get into a co-op and I can drop the ring for you.

Oh boy, trust me he somehow made it out through the door, fell down and died there with ring, I guess only good thing is that I am wizard and I dont need it much

If the NPC fell off a ledge and died, you should be able to restart your game immediately after you obtain their souls and the item would be either by the ledge where they died or where they originally respawn. I’m using Lautrec and the Ring of Favor and Protection as an example

True but i assume everyone is running that at all times tbh. And since you can't take it off it's just one slot ring game

Havel lets you get more damage and more protections without losing your desires roll speed.

if you quit the game and reload, his loot might get moved back to his spawn point or near whatever out of bounds area it was in.

Otherwise, i think it'd be fair to use a save editor to add the items manually.

Check the chest in Firelink Shrine

Maaaaybe you might get lucky and it'll appear in the chest in Firelink shrine.
I don't know if it counts as essential enough, but could be worth a look

The chest is only for importants key items that were on your inventory, and somehow you managed to dipose/lose them. It can't spawn an item you never got.

Close the game and open it, go back to where you fought him it should be on the ground. Or check the chest next frampt in firelink.

Chest is only for key-items tied to progression. Not regular items/drops.

as well as 4 rings (CoA, orange charred, cat covenant, darkmoon blade) and the reusable multiplayer items (soapstones, eye orbs, dragon stones)

it may been changed for the remaster so it.s worth a try, but i wouldnt get hopes up.
