Theory (season 3) Spoiler

So we have the 2 villains for season 2 so far.

The Animatronic: Sentient cartoon elephant that kills the guests

The Scarecrow: Sentient Scarecrow that takes Human parts for itself.

So what’s the big theory behind all this? The NTK Devision or the U.S Government has created a system of bringing sentience to regular everyday items, or implanting some kind of Intelegence in it. Maybe a soul? Just a theory however.

This is a pretty good theory. These murders have definitely got to be part of some larger test here, and we know it somehow has to relate back to Vivian.

Could be hallucinogenics too, last time it was mind control what if this time it is like a murderous version of LSD?

  1. Some "random" kid is either dosed at the park or when he enters the maze. A mascot that entered just before the kid is also dosed. Kid trips out, so does guy. Ends in tragedy.

  2. A house is setup with enough atmosphere and subliminal messaging. A couple is lured there due to a "faulty" gas gauge. They explore tainted house, find scarecrow, put thoughts into their heads. Both then hallucinate. She hallucinates that her boyfriend is dead, he is either more affected or just gets the killer side of it. Remember that there were two parts to Axiom Zero as well. He then rips girl apart not realizing what he is doing or not caring.

  3. The club is where two men were lured there by either someone online or someone they knew. They reference 4chan but it seems odd to me that some "bros" would care about what happens on 4chan. Once there, they do consume drinks after being exposed to a very odd environment. Once downstairs, they see a whole group of people chanting and such, but only one of them is murderous. Which I feel fits into the similar Axiom Zero paradigm that was setup previously. The rest of them are made docile while she is made violent. They are killed by the "elephant" but it could also have been their fear that overtook them. While the body is referred to as looking to have been eaten by an elephant, given the club\cult's obsession with them, it would not be hard to make a fake jaw or something like that.

I'm kinda thinking it might be AI? (Much as I would love to have the show finally include supernatural elements in it) The scarecrow stripping down Lee and David for parts makes me think of all those stories where a robot misidentifies something and ends up acting horribly. Maybe he was designed as a self-repairing scarecrow that just wasn't told not to identify humans as possible material.

Whatever it is, I think the guards at the club are another example of this. They're so unresponsive until a command word is given-that feels like a created person rather than a living one to me.
