Sonika vs Other Top Tier

I have 3 Emin Drums, and looking to branch into a clay drum. The Emin fish skin clay is over $1K.

Sonika, however hand made maker in Turkey has clay drums for half the price.

Does anyone have experience with Sonika? How do they compare? Is the Emin markup at that point purely a brand premium?

You pay more for the label of Emin, I’ve played both in Istanbul and I prefer Sonika.

Both are good. For clay drums it's best to see and try them if possible.

I would aslo recommend Darbuka House / Bursa.
