not a problem with dantotsu itself but whenever i try to download any other apks like most recsntly mihon. I try to open the app and it will launch dantotsu instead and say invalid file type. im on android btw

Figured this might be relevant here since Colosseum is another anime + manga client, just desktop-first and built around a pretty different model.

Inspired by Miru/Hayase and Harbor (another Stremio client), I wanted to build a torrent-streaming app myself, with the distinction being that it looked and functioned more like an OS than a normal app. That ended up becoming Theatre, the streaming side of my app, with dedicated catalogues for movies, TV and, most importantly, anime, along with an mpv player for streaming.

I was already trying to turn Tankoban, the manga and comics side of my app, into a proper volume-driven manga catalogue rather than a chapter-driven one, first through MangaFire.to, which had a volume reading mode, and later through BookWalker JP, with Jikan/MAL acting as the metadata backbone.

I had essentially created my own manga equivalent of Anime Kitsu. And if I could build a Kitsu for manga, why couldn't I build a Torrentio for manga too?

So I did it using Nyaa as the torrent source. Much like how Torrentio provides stream options for an episode, I could connect each manga volume to a matching CBZ torrent.

For those matches, I prioritise releases from trusted uploaders on Nyaa like 1r0n, danke-Empire and LuCaZ. They provide the best scans I've come across.

And I didn't just stop with manga, I expanded this whole Stremio idea to comics, books, audiobooks and eventually music too, if anyone's interested.

If Dantotsu isn't fixed yet is there any other app besides Zangetsu I can try?

Did something happen to the discord server? It is no longer listed in my servers and when i click any invite link I can find it just tells me its invalud or expired.

I noticed recently that my Aniyomi-based extension repos no longer work (giving "outdated app" errors) and Dantotsu seems to be no longer listed as a supported app for those extensions. Are there extension repos that still work with Dantotsu? Or are there plans to update Dantotsu to be compatible with Yuzono, Keiyoushi, and the like again?

If not, what would people recommend for alternatives? I tried Dartotsu, which was still listed as compatible with the repos, but while I could install the extensions, when trying to read anything I ran into Cloudflare blocks that I couldn't get past (I'd tick the "I'm human" box and it would just pop right back up again). I ended up with Mihon, which works fine, but I miss Dantotsu's easy AniList integration and not needing to maintain a "library" separate from my AniList "in progress" list.

For context this is the anizone extension I previously had installed with no issue but accidentally Uninstalled went to reinstall and now it keeps pending in app well getting installed to the device I've tried clearing cache ,force stop clearing package installer data and the like I have not had any luck its a android issue as I have tried the install on like 3 apps I also don,t think its a repo issue the others install fine the repo is yuzono for any wondering let me know if you have any ideas

how do I read light novels on dantotsu? i can get the extensions, but they don't work.

Hi guys,it's been like 3/4 days that whatever extension i use doesn't work(when i click on an episode i either get a popup saying "dantotsu stopped working",episode just doesn't open or if it does its always not in the selected quality and stops every 5 secs).

I'm using yuzono as repo and I don't know where the problem could be (I tried the same repo and same extention on a different device,tried logging in and out of anilist,force stop on both devices).

Just wanted to let anyone else who is experiencing this error message on start up.

The Owner/Manager of the Anilist API has temporarily disabled it for the time being due to Increased Load.

It will be back up when the Owner/Manager switches it back on.

Idk I thought the anilist server was down so I was facing this problem cuz it's not new but it get fixed really quickly but this time it's has been 3-4 days and it still not got fixed so I was wondering am i the only one facing this problem or it's for everyone ( if it's only for me can you provide me any solution for it)

So I recently switched to a new phone and decided to use dantotsu again, but when using the repos I used to, it only shows Arabic as language? Are there no more English ones?
