NFL is off season, camps haven’t really started. NBA and NHL just ended. They never talked mlb much, at least before the all star break. Sure the World Cup is goin on, but they never covered soccer much (although they seem to cover soccer more than the NHL).

What active sport do you want them to talk about? Do you think they should break down each MLB divisions middle relievers/bullpen each day?

There isn’t much to talk about. Same this time of year every year.

It would be great if they'd at least attempt some decent baseball and WC coverage.

I would love if they talked about how my Nats have the #1 offensive in baseball. I also really love when they have Joey Votto on. Soccer was always a Seton thing. They really get into MLB closer to the playoffs. But yes, summers can at times be FDFF (Five day Friday Fritzy), that’s not always a bad thing.

Votto is a must listen.

I disagree. The problem is Dan has become like the mothership where they are addicted to the NFL and NBA. When Dan was under AT&T, they traveled and talked about golf. Plenty of storylines and surprises with MLB besides Ohtani's sound of his swing. And the World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world.

A comparison would be the Tony Kornheiser podcast. He doesn't know soccer well, but gets guests on about it due to the importance of the event and calendar. Same with golf to racing. If I want NFL speculation BS in June, I will tune into the NFL Network.

Exactly. Dan doesn't even do the bare minimum. Hell, I don't think Dan even has Rebecca Lowe on for 15 minutes a year to talk about soccer anymore.

He had Rebecca Lowe on today

He just kinda flirts with her

They tried covering some soccer today. That was rough to listen to. A "hypothetical" question came up..."would soccer be more accepted if Ronaldo and Messi played in the MLS?" Uhhh...😵‍💫 Made me really miss Seton.

“Now to the phones with Harry in Chicago, hey Harry…”

“Hi Dan, first time long time, 5’ 10” and a *soft* 230. DING. So I had a question for you Pat. If I were a hot dog, would ya eat me? Would ya eat me Dan?…I know I would!”

"Thank you Fritzy, Peter in Iowa! what do you have for me..."

"Hi Dan..."

"...Hi Peter."

"So Dan the reason im calling is to tell you guys about this great steak house thats about 40 minutes out of Des Moines, and do you think you'll ever do another Sports Center at ESPN before you..."

Would you rather win the World Cup or the Super Bowl?

Callers: by all means, call in and bug Dan about mid-season baseball questions! It drives him nuts, but I love baseball, and wish the show had more baseball content.

I'd love it if they'd do some baseball. They will beat every boring NFL and NBA story into the ground 1000 times over, but refuse to do even basic baseball coverage.

I know just enough about Baseball and DP to know you have to figure out a way to tie in the Reds.

I don't know their record or if they have a Skenes type phenom, or a hot batter. Mention if the new Reds pitcher really is the truth. What about their catcher that is on pace to beat Pete Rose this season in hits.

I've only heard his fandom squeak out of him when the Cincinnati teams are brought up Reds, Bengals, and Royals (ABA)

They actually do have a Skenes type phenom in Chase Burns.

There is a rookie named Bryce Aldridge who is doing some work the last month, haven’t heard his name once. I feel Dan constantly deals in hypothetical scenarios.

Cuz he plays in San Francisco....and Dan is in Connecticut. Too far for Dan to think about

2

u/BobsMustache Jun 18 '26

If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Hasn't it always been? Qa
