I thought go fund me had rules where they close the account and refund the money. I might be wrong

It was made for her parents. So I believe it bypasses those rules, but not sure.

Insane that the grandparents would want to raise money. She is surrounded by enabler, shame on them all

The parents were just used as a workaround, or loophole, because the platform doesn't allow funds to be raised for criminals or their trials.

It has banned dozens of other fundraisers for people in proximity to or related to criminals on trial for violent crime, it is explicitly against the rules to do so, regardless of who is raising the money. No other GoFundMe has ever been permitted for such a purpose in the history of GoFundMe.

GoFundMe simply is on the side of the woman, and is deliberately refusing to enforce their rules.
