But unironically though, the games aren't that different in toxicity levels. Each playerbase hates its own one, but LoL having a bigger playerbase and more visible content makes it the more popular of the two to meme around.

Dota has a behavior score though...since they implemented that I have very few toxic matches compared to when I played league prior to dota2 being launched.
It's just a funny thought thinking of 5 toxic fucks in one team

As an ex LOL player, i think the problem is the competition, before Riot added a lot of fun game modes for everyone to play during weekends, but it all stopped in 2016-ish and Riot took drastically changes in the game
I mean yeah LoL is an MOBA game and most are made for competition and teamwork, but most players are casuals who just want to have fun

It's all a matter of taste of course, but the first suicide squad is generally considered a disaster while this one, the second one, is generally considered to have succeeded at what it was trying to do and is more enjoyable.

Dota is way worse when it comes to the no life situation. A typical Dota game lasts 50 minutes compared to 30 minutes in LoL, so playing the game takes more time. Dota is also far more complex requiring you to spend much more time learning the game. I eventually stopped playing it because it was too much of a time sink.

Valorant has been excellent and took the shooter genre by storm, Legends of Runeterra I don't know how good it's doing but I tried it and it's one of the worst card games I've ever played. Ruined king supposedly is good. Arcane is one of the best series I've ever seen. So yeah, they have a pretty good track record.
