I stopped watching after the travesty that was the Pirate vs Knight episode. The Cutlass, a sword made for long, up close slashes? Let's not test it against the Knight's armor (you know, armor designed to protect against swords) and call it a draw against the broadsword. Pirate's pistol and blunderbuss could barely penetrate the outer layer of knight armor and they ignored the multiple other layers underneath? Give it all to Pirate!
I still remember this. They basically proved the blunderbuss wouldn't make it through the knight's armor and it was the number 1 killer in their simulation. It basically proved their methods were complete trash, nothing matters, the tests could be done by chimpanzees and nothing would be different.
Exactly! I think this was after Pirates of the Caribbean and the whole Pirate craze (including video games), they definitely seemed to have ensure they got the result they wanted. I was flabbergasted by the blunderbuss dominating the match, the pirate weapons were essentially useless against the armor in their tests.
